  1. I think everyone in the area knows why teams are dropping Ashland. It has nothing to do with fear of a beatdown. It's more than that. I say good for Russell and the others.
  2. Can't forget that the Browns also played without Denzel Ward. I realize that they don't negate one another, but he's significant missing piece on their side of the ball as well.
  3. It has nothing to do with remembering the negative. It's a pattern. I like Lamar, sincerely. But I think he's overrated. I don't think he's the MVP of this league. I think anyone not named Josh Allen as we are situated today, is an also ran. Lamar is supremely talented but makes some horrible decisions at crucial times. His team won last week in spite of it, yesterday his two gaffes at the end was their undoing. Next week he may throw for 500 against the Brahns.
  4. Often does? Has an affinity for? Has developed a pattern of?
  5. Lamar line 19/32 174yds 1Td 1Int QBR 27.6 12 Carries 58yds
  6. Pete, how do you think next year looks? Greene looked good down the stretch. Lodolo looks solid. Ashcraft also. Think they can be .500 or better next year? LRCW is a big fan of Elly De La Cruz. Maybe he makes it up here some time next season.
  7. I don’t hate him at all. I’m just looking at the reality that he self destructs. Often. I hope he’s there eating a huge chunk of their cap for many seasons. I can list several dudes I’d rather have as my QB1 than Lamar.
  8. I think he's so overrated it's pathetic. He makes horrible decisions that kill his squad. I pray they pay him $60mil per for a 6 year stint. Along those lines, I think the Bengals win this one unless the Baltimore pressure gets home often. I don't think the secondary can hold up for 4 quarters. Just like last Thursday, if Burrow gets single on the outside, he's throwing it. Every time.
  9. I wish I had a nickel for every time I say OPEN.
  10. Congrats to my Bengal friends. This division and conference is a crapshoot. You have as good a shot to play for all the marbles as any. Better job keeping your QB upright.
  11. Sorry, late to the party. Spent the day in a tree. It was leaps and bounds better than the game, ha. There are so many issues with this Steeler squad that it’s a pipe dream to think they all can be overcome. Some of those are: hard to properly expound on the loss of TJ. He’s the best player to wear the colors since Troy and is irreplaceable. Trubisky looked fair at times, then he was regular Mitch. He’s pathetic frankly. He’s no better than a career backup. It’s beyond time to play the rookie. The fact that they piecemeal a defensive secondary is an issue that goes undiscussed. Nothing more than some jokers trying to hang on til the rush gets home and without Watt, it doesn’t and it’s easy to see how bad they are collectively. Minkah is easily avoided when he’s the only dude back there. The offensive coordinator is just awful. And if there is a bright spot, the OL hasn’t been nearly as bad as expected. Bottom line, top 10 draft pick finally next spring. but credit the Browns. They imposed their will. I have more respect for N Chubb than any player in the league. Stud.
  12. I thought it was hilarious. Poor Archie seems dry as a popcornfart, but his kids are all hilarious.
  13. Lost to Mitch Trubisky and Cooper Rush. Ouch
  14. I'll take an uninformed selection of Bardstown by 2 touchdowns. Difficult to deal with at home.
  15. Ogunjobi wasn't a pushover in the run game. His effort allowed Jack and Bush to make a few plays that previously, with Wormley and others, had gone for backside gainers at will. I hope he stays healthy, he is not on the level of a healthy Tuitt, but he's head and shoulders above the rest of the depth at that position. He's been great. And to answer the TJ question above, who knows what the outcome will be. The talking heads say 6 weeks now. I hope that's true. I'm biased, but I think he's the best player in the league. Tough to duplicate what he brings.
  16. I will add this. I haven't been to a Steelers/Bengals game where the fans around us were as cool as the ones yesterday. We all had a blast. The couple behind us (Bengals fans of course) were hilarious and we all had a terrific back and forth in a game that allowed it for certain. Win or lose, it was a great game to attend and those folks were fantastic. And I'm quite certain that this Cincy team will be a force to be reckoned with as this season progresses and they shake a bit of rust off. My guys, without the best player in the league (of course I'm biased) will struggle to match that defensive output again and will have to watch the guys they run out there for offense struggle to move the ball inches at a time.
  17. Against the single worst offense in the league, bar none. Better hope it's "almost" Superbowl hangover. Otherwise your squad has some issues.
  18. Always is when you can hear the water running under the bridge. Last year, couldn’t hear it. This year it was much more peaceful.
