  1. I'll say that I enjoy the draft. Even some of the absurd reactions, outfits and the like. I like the sappy background stories and family stuff they show. I always watch. I did find this little article on Stroud interesting regarding the test that identifies processing acumen. https://www.dispatch.com/story/sports/nfl/2023/04/21/ohio-state-osu-quarterback-cj-stroud-struggles-cognitive-test-2023-nfl-draft-prospect-cte/70139209007/
  2. No kidding. Could have run it down to 5 seconds and a miss would have been difficult there to even get a shot off at the other end. Got lucky, no question. Not a normal brainfart for him.
  3. Warriors survive a Chris Weber type gaffe at the end by Steph. Sheesh.
  4. Exactly what I was gonna post. Sheesh.
  5. He got a one game ban. I think this series is over.
  6. So, according to Rappaport, on PMac's show, the Ravens actually offered a deal to Lamar 200 guaranteed. The 133 was on a shorter deal. I'm not sure if that is real or not, but if so, I think that changes the whole narrative.
  7. Westbrook's block on Book was impressive, but then he tosses it off him before he gets out of bounds. Not the highlight reel dunk, but the most important play of the game in my opinion.
  8. Now the leagues' highest paid player in NFL history. Only 179.3 guaranteed over 5. So, on paper it's the richest, but in reality he's still a long way from Deshaun's $. From NFL's website: Hurts' deal has $179.304 million in total guarantees, including $110 million fully guaranteed at signing and $126.5 million fully guaranteed by March 2024, as well as the first no-trade clause in Eagles history -- another sign of the franchise's faith in Hurts, who is still only 24 years old.
  9. It's true. I listened to all of them, but that one was heartbreaking. If you're not a parent, I guess you would struggle to understand.
  10. That's true. But you could come in from the pen and the results might not be much different.
  11. I don't disagree. I'd be willing to guess that $ is a determining factor as well.
  12. I'm fairly certain you and I have had this very discussion before, but I go to the range occasionally with the former superintendent of my son's school system and asked him if he'd be in favor of teachers being able to carry. He emphatically said no. Training, liability, etc were his replies. And this from a significantly pro-gun fellow.
  13. Full disclosure, I bet on the Steelers in Ben's last home game. Won $600. I won't do it again. I'll stop on top.
  14. To be honest, I'd have lost money had I wagered on the quality of starts so far from this staff.
  15. As morbid as this sounds, My friend's wife who was out of the building at the time will have better 2nd hand info than we will ever read. I'm looking forward to hearing her take after the fact.
  16. Unless there has been a change in reporting, everything I have read says he has no history. How do you prevent that? If day of is how swiftly we have to react, good luck with that.
  17. 23yo kid from Floyd Central in Indiana. Streamed the whole thing from what I've read. I don't know if they've released if he shot himself or if he was shot by police. Had a rifle. I assume it was an AR. By all accounts a kid that you wouldn't put on the radar. Until today....
  18. The 333 Main building has attorney's offices above the first floor. Good friend's wife works there. Thankfully she was down the street working on something else at the time of the incident.
  19. Does the OBJ deal shed any light on the plans for the Ravens and Lamar? Does this mean he's more likely to play in Baltimore.
  20. Lakers staring at the play in. 2nd qtr killed them. I checked out at halftime.
  21. Maybe they'll tie and the one with the least "load management" advances.
  22. The playoffs might be the first time both teams play each other at full strength. That will be must see TV.
