The Wolves played an excellent game doing what they ha dto do to win. All their players stepped up big. A great atmosphere. The big factor was that Wolfe finally played with some desire and had fun. Oh yeah they played good defense too, packing it in and forcing Hazard to make 3's. Hicks did, he had 8 and 35pts, but the plan worked stoppin gthe rest of the bulldogs from getting on track.

Lee needed this to be a little lopsided so maybe they could rest there starters. Lee has played two games this week and Owsley only one, but it was a hard fought one, so I am not usre who will be the freshest on Friday. Should be a great gae. Congrats Lee I wish the old 56th was still together, it would be a heated district.(It is still but the old rivalry that teams had with Wolfe are right now way bigger than the rivalries with Estill, but it will come along.

Good call bball king. Hazard is a very good team, but the wolfe hung tough and was able to ride the back of their seniors to the victory. The rest of the team played great also.

Sounded like a great game from what I got to catch on the radio. Now it is on to a semifinal matchup with 56th district rival Lee Co. Congadulations Owls.

A GREAT game. Booth teams gave it their all but the Wolves came away with the hrad fought victory. One of the best games I have witnessed this season, nip and tuck the whole way. Congrats Wolfe

The Owls zone will work well if they get a hand up on JB's shooters and force them to take and make tough shots. It should be a gret game, but like I said I haven't seen JB play this year but I think it will be hard to get a win in Booneville against a drastically better OC team.

EC proved that they are as good as team as any in the 16th. As long as they are hitting.

I agree bc44. Who ever wins the all a this week should be number 2 or 3 in the region.

Hicks and Bailey are the best juniors in the region. The 54th seems to be loaded with juniors as the Big kid for Leslie is a top 3 or 4 junior also.

I will take the Owls in an upset!

I agree with UK4Life and Kids Fan that Giolbert is the best player in the 14th region. I am not knocking anyone else though, because there is tons of talent in the region I just think he is the best. The fact that his team struggles allows other teams to double and triple team him so he has to work twice as hard as players on good team because the help they have keeps other teams honest. I do also agree that GIlbert can defend but like UK4life said it is only when he wants too. Plus Gilbert is the only player in the state I believe to be in the top ten in both ppg and rpg. There is plenty of talent this year in the 14th I just believe that Gilbert has seperated himself from the pack.

Good win for Lee but they almost gave it away missing so many freethrows in the last 50 seconds. But all in all sounded like a great game, Congrats Lee.

They haven't had many wins I believe they are 3 and 11. I now it sounds bad but most of those have been under 10. I know right now their season has to be considered bad but the way they have been playing lately they may have a chance at salvaging it and making something good out of it. Don't cont them out because the record is so bad, they are going to be there in the end I do beleive

Me either, but it happens that way. I mean why would you hold the 14th region tourney at Hazard. The gym is falling down and there is absolutely zero parking.
