  1. I dont think that mountain players aren't able to play at D-1 schools, I just think that they dont get enough exposure. There have been and will still be players from this area who could play at the D-1 level but until somone drags their slves down here to see them they wont be playing D-1.
  2. I was at the Hazard game and saw Cody play. I didnt think he had a bad attitude at all.He did play with alot of emotions and energy and swagger but I never saw him having a bad attitude. But when Wolfe made their run and other times throughout the game he tried to get the fans involved. But I have no problem with that.
  3. Did they really? I remember how great it was when KCC held Gilbert to just 13, everyone use that as fuel as of why he shouldn;t be the number one player. Not so fun when it is the other way around is it? Maybe he needs to b gaurded by 3. I have seen a player have that happen this year.
  4. Are you just a little bitter doc, that the Wolves stopped your beloved Bulldogs run to four straight?
  5. Another question I would like to ask i show many shots do you think Gilbert missed the whole night? I bet his field goal percentage was around 75%.
  6. I agree the Den. It seems that everytime someone has a good game people want to call him a ball hog or something. Would you call it heckling, or jealosy?
  7. Why hasnt Commodore4life posted on this one? I seen that his number one player in the region seemed to have a real off night.
  8. BBall King did you catch the Buckhorn game last night? I thought Gilbert played passive at the first but when it came down to it he poured it on the best he could to try and get his team back in the game. He did a great job of it but ran out of gas.
  9. I agree it seemed like Gilbert wanted his teammates to get involved early but their shots just weren't fallin. PLus when they got sown he was probably thinkin that this was going to be his last all a game unless he did something so He took over
  10. Good call KF. He is very enthusiastic about the game, he always loves to get the crowd into it. But that isn't an attitude problem, which is what a Hazard fan made it out o be callign him arrogant and cocky when really he just seemed to be into the game and having fun. Isn't that what basketball is about?
  11. yes you are correct, Gilbert tries to set a good eaxmple for the kids in our area. He knows he losses his head sometimes and has been working hard to stay mentally tough and do a better job.
  12. He is playing alot better. He would've been a bigger factor in the Hazard game but he was plagued by foul trouble. He has gotten in shape and looks to be a big help.
  13. UK4Life As far as I know Gilbert's attitude is not as bad as it might seem. I have to be almost every game this year and I will admit that he sometimes seemed awkward or angry on the court but I believe most of that was out of frustration. Being use to winning and then being on a team that is 2 and 11 to start the season has to be hard for anyone to swallow.
  14. I agree Uk4Life If Gilbert was on other teams he would be doing better. Maybe not scoring as many but the rest of his stats would be higher. And the best palyer on the best team in the region doesnt make that player the best player. His team is what makes him as good as he is. A team can help make a player but making a team on your own is a much harder task. But I dont think we need to woory about that anymore. Gilbert has some help and the Wolves are starting to play.
  15. Yeah I agree. I dont think there are more than one or two teams that you can say dont have a chance to win the whole thing.
  16. Gilbert didnt have his best game but he finished with 22, 10 big ones in crunch time in the 4th quarter and I htink the radio said he had 13 or 14 rebounds. He also d-up hicks in the fourth and I think he only scored around 6, most from the line. It wasn't his best offensive game of the year but he was there when it was gut check time. And it had to be his best defensive game of the year. He picked Hicks around 2 and a half miuntes left and gave Wolfe the led. The Stamper kid from wolfe played good too. He had 24pts. He kept them in the game early when Gilbert was struggling. He also so hit some clutch baskets in the fourth. Crowe didnt get to play a whole lot beacuase of fouls but Wolfe other senior, Glen Bush stepped up big time knocking down two big time three's. Stoppping Hazard runs both times. Yes Hicks won the personal battle as far as points go but Gilbert's team won, sounds like a victory to me. All and all a great game. Congrats Wolfe
  17. He might slow him down but Smith is a good player who will get his. The object is for Fetters tomake Smith take tough shots and make him take a few more than the Owls want or need him to, btu I think this game is going to be fantastic. Should be close and since it isnt at Lee or owsley there is no home court advantage. So I think it will be an excellent game.
  18. This is a rematch of last years semifinals which if I remember correctly was a good game.
  19. I think it will be a great game. I odnt know much about Buckhorn, so I will have to do a little research before I predict the winner. I do know that Wolfe is alot better than everyone thinks they are though.
  20. I dont know how many it will hold but I know it will be packed on Friday.
