GT, PP is usually pretty coy about these things. The statement you cited was nice to read. I caught that along with two other things. You could construe that as being the school or the coach. I see it as the coach. Plus for UK, IMO. There was a comment about things that he wrote down positively and negatively...when he said what stood out that allowed him to make a decision...he said he couldn't say because that would give it away. All three schools have similar characteristics, in ways, but I took the deciding factor he wouldn't reveal as being "the school of my choice is close to home, and family is nearby" To me that is what really seperates the three schools. Favoring UK. Lastly, the comment about UK may be sending a bus to Huntington. He seemed to enjoy that and say everyone is welcome. Plus for UK. Now I am trying to read way too much into this. I still think smart money is on UF. But you have to take into account a few things. With Duke he will be at the center position with Singler there. At UK, there is no guarantee that Donovan will be there. At UK there are a world of pluses. Of course I am biased. I just think people shouldn't go overboard if he does not choose UK, because if you remember, practically everyone had given up on Patterson after OTS left.

All of those kids but Anderson visited when Petrino was there. Most of the ones he got to visit were marginal players except Lobster Willie.

Quite amusing but factually inaccurate. No conditions can be placed on a kid when you release them from a Letter of Intent. When you release them, they are free to go anywhere. Couple things on Hamga. I still contend the messages on the facebook have far less impact on his recruitment than some believe. 1. Adams ties to UNLV. It has been long held there was a connection between Adams and UNLV. This is why I suggested something just didn't sit right when he made the comments to the C-J. Ulterior motive camflouged by his comments. He has ties to UNLV. 2. Adidas connection 3. Adams family member getting a job at UNLV. 4. Guardian not making official visit. 5. Foreign players very loyal to their guardians in the states... I think these 5 factors had more impact on the decision than messages to his facebook, which was also stoked by his "brother" who is at UK.

Obvious concerns with Valentine behind the plate. Evidently, team ERA with him catching is not so good.

Actually those games might be decent...the Monday and Tuesday games are Kid Glove games and many of those tickets/vocuchers have been cashed in. Bobble-head night on that Wednesday.

He never had an offer from UK at this point. UK was interested to a point. Family had concerns that he would get recruited right over. From some of the things I had read, it seems like he was not as confident in his abilities as others were.

A lot of rumblings regarding this. Not surprising...was scheduled to visit, but still had no offer on the table from UK. His family is Red and White through and through.

Quite possible, but you think Lucas steals a little of his thunder by picking UF first? I think Duke is a serious player. Buster is a huge fan and some have said he may have inquired about himes in NC. These two may not really be attached at the hip. From all accounts PP has not let Jai in on what he is thinking.

I was surprised Lucas signed today. I think if he wanted to play with Patterson, he should have waited. Because Patterson has played it very close to the vest with his recruitment, even with Lucas. I think Patterson may end up at Duke. I think he took a risk by signing well before Patterson, if he is truly wnating to play with him. Not surprised at the decision, as the weekend wore on it became a little more obvious that JL was leaning UF's way, particularly after Greene signed with an agent. PT is more plentiful there. Up until the weekend their were positive vibes for Lucas...but that changed over the weekend.
