UNLV is a player for Hamga. Hamga has the test scores but would likely need one class this summer to make it as a 07 kid. I don't anticipate him going into the 07 class. Just me thinking. Lucas and Patterson...I dont know I would guess Florida for both.

Saarloos faces four guys in the 8th and gets no one out. Oh, the horrid bullpen. Reds down 5-1. They charged Gonzalez with a throwing error on that dribbler. It was a routine play, but the throw was not THAT bad. Hatteberg may have relaxed on the throw. If he gets to the outside oart of the bag, he makes the play, however deing at the middle of the base he just missed it. Kind of like one of those plays where the first baseman stretches too soon.

Cincinnati is a major fairweather town. When things are going good, fans show up. That is fairly evident for both pro and college. Football is big, as it is across the state. High school football in Cincy is solidly supported. College football, not so much, but maybe Brian Kelly can change some things. The Bengals with a modicum of success has really caught hold. It may be a baseball town based on tradition, but ever since the year they lost the one game playoff to the Mets and changed the direction of the franchise by going after Junior, they have not had much success.

Final UK extracts a measure of revenge from an earlier loss to the Cards. Big weekend series for UK as they host UGA battling for a berth in the SEC Tourney. The most recent Rivals NCAA Baseball Tournament Projection had the Cats in before playing tonight.

Have received word that UK visited with Rose Hill Crhistian's Dakota Euton and Chad Jackson. Both will be sophomores next year. Euton may be further along, but some project that Jackson may be the one with the most upside. Not sure which coach was in Ashland, but one of the staff was there.

OK. Barnahrt hires a coach who wins first bowl game in who knows how long coming off the heels of probation, for a program with little or no success. Makes a dynamite hire in basketball. Has vision to build a state of the art basketball practice facility. Baseball hosts a regional...wins SEC title in arguable the best overall baseball conference. Other sports won SEC titles in arguable the most competitive conference in America. Hired womens coach that got them back into NCAA tourney. Has upgraded most facilities for all sports. New baseball stadium on horizon. Swings deal with Fox Sports along with the Big Blue Network, bringing in 80 million dollars over the course of the deal. Oversees deal to secure largest radio station in the state. Athletic department is running in the black and is funding various other departments at the university including general scholarships. Has started the Catspy's, which is a cheesy take on the ESPY's, but recognizes all the student-athletes at UK, and gets them recognition that is few and far between at major universities. 22 fully funded sports at UK. Bottom line he is an "athletics director" not a "FBD" (Football/basketball director). Look at the entire scope of the matter for all athletics at their schools and it is not as clear as some think, because they are athletics directors, not specialists in certain sports.

The Lucas decision should come somtime next week. He will host a final slew of in-home visits. Sean Sutton will be in the Lucas home Wednesday night. Thursday sees Billy D fly in from Gainesville. Friday, Jeff Capel and Oklahoma make their final pitch and this coming off the heels of one of their point guards leaving. BCG gets one on Satuday, and possibly the final one. Still up in the air, but Gary Williams and Maryland may be in Saturday evening. From there, there should be a decision by next week.

OTS's nets were never cast this wide for a long while. Eepecially for kids in thte junior and soph classes. It is actually fun to follow recruiting again.

Morgan still has a lot of development to go through. Obviously Miller is priority #1. Much depends on scholarships. But I'd say it is Miller, Warren, and then a post player depending on how they finish this year.

I believe he also got sick at one of the steakhouse's in Lexington.

He said in an interview tonight, that he has already been to UCLA and UM and doesn't need to take any more trips. This tells me his mind is made up.

He thinks the father likes Duke and the mother likes UK. I think PP likes Florida. Also said the neatest thing about the trip was meeting the school prez and the mayor. Mom was on the trip to Lexington. Now what he will sign is a scholarship agreement since he can not sign another LOI.

You can get 5-6 shots off of offensive rebounds. How is the objective that BCG is stating any different than what Billy Donovan told Dan Werner and his father, that DW would get 15-20 minutes a game?

One of my sources for Lucas said he was told from the Lucas camp that Jai was a lock for UK. But that was about 2 weeks ago. The info has all but dried up and there has been nothing but deafning silence since, which in that time Lucas visited Florida. Supposedly, my guy will get something by tomorrow, regarding Lucas, as he was told as much. With that silence, Im hedging my bet that Lucas ends up at Florida. In addition, I think the whole Patterson charade has gotten old and have heard from one source he has known for a while now of where he is going to go. With that being said, he is jerking around two programs, and in my opinion it is Duke and UK. If you know where you are going, pull the trigger, and be fair to the programs that have been after you the longest. Obviously, UK had a regime change, but Duke has spent a lot of energy tracking Patterson. It has become a game of cat and mouse. Which brings me to this conclusion. I think UK will get Legion and work like crazy to get Sanchez. Pelphrey is trying hard to get him to go to prep school because he dont have any available scholarships for him now but will next year.
