Back to all seriousness, RickyP you seem to be pretty well in the know on all of this, do you think that there will be an attempt made by RH to call ashland to reschedule or is it too far gone now?

I have seen Ashlands freshman play and was actually on my way to watch the game. I was very interested to see the game be played. It is really very simple, all the AD's have to do is call each other and work out a rescedule date. RickyP has the refs covered and I'll even donate the net off my basketball goal in front of my house for good measure so that noone can say they missed shots by not having a net on 1 goal.

Seems like a logical solution, but you and I know that will never happen.

They should have played the game with the players who normally play for the freshman team.For Ashland to put on this tourn and then lose the championship game to this is ridiculous. Just look at the lost revenue not to mention not even playing a championship game.

I believe that is just part of being a kid and I'm sure he will learn from this experience as he matures into an adult

Its definitely an unfortunate thing for this to have happened and I'm sure the reasons for it are sound,and besides that, they are none of our business. I don't see how anyone could question Kaseys heart though. From what I've seen of him in games vs Boyd Co he has done nothing but go all out and thats all you can ask of a kid. Unfortunately people and circumstances get in the way of that and it is generally the kid who has to pay the price, sometimes unfairly. Anyway, like I said earlier, good luck in football and baseball kasey and try to take it easy on my Lions. :laugh:

If that were the case you should never even start the season. And if you worry about getting hurt, that is when it will happen. You can blow out an ACL just walking down the steps at home, would you have them removed if your son was a star athlete??

It is easy to say to not let a kid quit, but you also run the risk of it being an even more negative attitude around the team if the kid stays and is unhappy. Either way it has a damaging effect on the team, but in this case maybe it was better for the team to just walk away.

You never can tell when it comes to kids and their attitudes these days.

More than likely, that is generally the case when there are problems. Same thing happens at Boyd too.

I'm not ruling anybody out at this point, esp the way all sports have been in this area of late.
