The way the KHSAA has organized almost all the sports playoff/districts systems is a mess IMO...but that is a whole other story. In "other" sports, volleyball in particular, the KHSAA has made so many changes over the past 4-5 years, Unseeded districts are (thanks to blind draws) sending inferior teams to the Regional tournament. Why aren't all districts either seeded or not seeded? KHSAA lets each district decide if they want to seed or not...why give each school that kind of power??? Also, the State volleyball tournament might as well be the Louisville Invitational tournament that is held Mid-year because the State tournament, besides the finals, is usually a joke. Like RP said, let each team earn their way to the top, don't have something handed to you.

Because all coaches should know the ins and outs of the handbook, specifically the "r" word. It happens everywhere, I just do not want him or any other coach to get in deep with KHSAA. He is a very respected guy, and a great coach from what everyone says, I think he wants to keep it that way. Plus, it seems like the handbook changes constantly, always good to be current with new rules.

Someone might need to give Coach Ha a handbook from the KHSAA about the "R" word.....

I think Bobbi Casey is going to the Boone County school system???? I would not think she will be a Panda asst. this year...

Format has changed from Thur/Fri/Sat to just Thursday and Friday for KHSAA regulation purposes.

1. NDA---no doubt most talent, my pick for their region 2. St. Henry---Niemer will be unstoppable, 3. NCC---My pick for their region, 2 young superstars in Schulte and Freppon 4. Ryle---alot of talent if they can bring it together 5. Campbell---McElveen is young and should be backbone, dedicated coach 6. Beechwood---Snyder also unstoppable, underclassmen key to their success 7. Conner---2-3 Very solid players, good spot for them if they get quality coach, 8. Highlands---Should be very consistent team, 9. Simon Kenton---Coach always has that team prepared no matter what the personnell looks like. 10. Holy Cross---Many girls palyed together during JO's this year, playing together all year really helps!

Drive by everyday on way home from work....Noticed the Rice Mountjoy "arch" leaning up against some building material acrross the street from Dyke Industries. It would be cool if they kept the name the same....

NDA had no nominees as stated above. St. Henry had 2 nominees that did not even show up....

If I am not mistaken, they are both going to G-town college.

I would assume in the transition of coaches, someone dropped the ball in getting a nominations in........

Senior All-Star Week basically...it has been done for years. Volleyball All-Star game is always the 1st Wednesday in May. Coaches compile 2 seniors from all teams to particpate in an All-Star game. They practice from 5-6, rest and eat a snack, then play the game at 7:00 probably a 2-3 match or something like that. I do not know if it is advertised anywhere, but coaches usually spread the word on the game. I think football is Thursday at Beechwood. I do not know about the other sports.

I know ALL who are helping out...there is one for t-shirts, one bought awards, one bought snacks and drinks, one coach that coordinated all and then the 4 previously named coaches...and, beleive me, it IS the SAME people EVERYTIME!!! That leaves at least 13-16 HS teams left unrepresented and by a coach. Of those 13-16 HS teams, I will bet next to NONE of the coaches will even attend the event. ( I HOPE I am wrong, but history tells me otherwise!)

SandyKitchen(Villa), Jen Woolf(former Conner), Roger Sanders(Calvary) and Jodi Schmidt(Ludlow) will coach and divide the players evenly. They'll try to get the best, most evenly matched games as possible. Coach involvement is the key to the success of this and other events....not all coaches step up to the plate....seems like the same coaches helping out every time??

Damron graduated from East Carter in 1990. He played collegiately at Georgetown, helping lead the Tigers to the national title as a sophomore. He was a two-time AllAmerican. He started as an assistant at East Carter for a year and worked under Roy Kidd at Eastern Kentucky for a year. He spent a few months at Morehead State before becoming the offensive coordinator at George Jenkins in Lakeland, Florida.
