  1. I am really proud of the Letcher Co. Central team. As a first year team, with NO experience I thought they did a fantastic job and I can not wait until next year. I was always proud to travel and see the huge support our kids received from our fans. It has been a great start to a great tradition. Coach Spurlock, Our parents speak highly of your team. They say they have taken them under their wings. That is good to see teams showing great sportsmanship. Good luck to y'all next year.
  2. Two good freshmen from LCC are Charlie Banks and Devin Blair. They both have spent time starting and running the point for the cougars. They will be an outstanding duo for years to come at LCC.
  3. What goes around comes around. Shame. I guess they think they are world beaters,eh. I guess this is how you get your kicks when your team can't beat the big boys.
  4. Maybe coach Justice just doesn't want to lose to you all...
  5. We know we are forunate to have him. He is a class act.
  6. This is a good win. Belfry played LCC very close earlier at LCC. They looked solid then. Much like Lee Co. did. Maybe LCC is having a little bit of an identity crisis...which will go away. And part of their "fading" away is that they have played a good schedule (laid a goose egg in the tough AIT). But they still must be considered one of the favorites in the 14th--with all being said I just don't think there are that many teams better.
  7. Wonder how those schools got votes? ROFL...what a joke...I guess the only schools that matter are those in the golden triangle.
  8. ROFL LCC 7th...you've lost any credibility.
  9. Are you rating who is hot right now? Not sure how you can have LCC ranked lower than Lee and Knott...they beat both teams. I do think these two teams are good and deserve mention but they lost to LCC...therefore, I think LCC should be ranked higher. I haven't seen Hazard or PCC or Leslie yet this year so I can not really give a good account of where they should be ranked...but you do have LCC too low.
  10. Cougar wrestling is on the rise. This has been a phenomenal addition to the sports program at LCC. Go Cougars!!!
  11. Not sure yet who the best teams are in this region but I would say you better get Letcher County Central (new school) now before they become a power...it is only a matter of time.
  12. Coach Frohnapfel is a class act. He has this team headed in the right direction. He has high expectations of his players and is there to support them. I love the players wearing shirts/ties to school on game days. He is building a program that will have a lot of pride. I can't wait til the cougar wrestling team meets at home next week. I expect a full house. GO LCC
  13. I got to watch the Letcher County Central Wrestling Teams scrimmage this week. I was instantly hooked. The team scrimmaged JJ Kelly (Va.). LCC has two coaches with collegiate experience. The crowd was large and the atmoshphere was comparable to a post season basketball game. This sport will be huge at LCC. The team had around 40 members. It was an awesome sport to watch. I think this will continually evolve into a powerhouse at LCC.
  14. hands down? ROFL. You are definitely a homer, but that is alright. You have not been to LCC. The jumbotron sets these two apart IMO.
