I heard something very interesting today and after just a little research, I found out it's true. Still hard to imagine, the 2009 St.Xavier Tiger Football Team will have THREE yes 3 defensive starters whose Fathers not only graduated from trinity but also played football there. Why would those t alumni choose St.X for their sons? Interesting, wonder when the Courier Journal finds out about that. Should be a good article.

St. Xavier played without starting running back Jeremiah Neal and starting safety Nick Sears. Also starting receiver Austin Jones injured his shoulder the second game on the day.

With a minute left, St.Xavier down 7, DB Taylor Jones picked off a pass to put St.X down 4. A bomb from Buehner to Austin Jones gave the tigers a 3 point lead. Madisonville left in shock.

Yeah your right, I guess the felines are lucky they lead the felines vs leprechauns series. :sssh:

I am glad St. Xavier's Seniors to be won the 2007 St.X vs Trinity JV game 21-14. I wonder how they will do this year against Trinity players that are not a grade ahead of them.

St. Xavier's DB's Nick Sears and Taylor Jones both will have strong Senior Year Seasons. I look for the Jones kid to really shine this year.

Sears switching from free safety to strong safety might change his interception numbers, but will also boost his tackles so it could even out. After what I saw in the Trinity playoff game Jones is a contender for 1st team all state also. If st.x would play the better player and not the senior this kid would have started as a junior.

bronco7 -"Next years secondary might be better than last." Taylor Jones and Daylen Hall should be very strong at corner with Nick Sears at strong safety and Ben Kolb at free safety. Sears being the only returning starter might make you question this secondary, but with 2 strong fast corners in Jones and Hall could be lethal. Not to mention Jones had 2 interceptions in the Trinity playoff game. Look to see many interceptions next season by this whole secondary.
