I was only trying to point out that he also put up basically the same numbers against Mason twice, Cov Cath, and others who weren't in the 16th. And IMO is one of the states top players.

You have contradicted yourself very badly!! You have made the statement in post #109 page three that Henderson dropping 18 on the state's best made him a legit top player, and in another post you said only reason Ferguson got his numbers was weak 16th comp. If Miller is states best(he is) he would also have to be top competition(he was) Ferguson dropped 27 on him first time they met, and in a more deliberate bigtime game had 19 against him. Ferguson always seem's to get the job done regardless of the level of competition. Imo he is a legit player no matter how much his own :mad:people and others put him down on here!!

Half or more of Ferguson's shot's are off dribble penetration, so it would be easier for him to turn it over if he shot it every time. He averages hardly any turnover's though because he has excellent handle's:thumb:

Who are the 20 that you could really say have the potential of Lofton. I know and have saw almost every junior in Ky play numerous times and I cant even come close to 20. I also know that all these posts are because you don't like the fact that people are saying Ferguson is right there at the top and comparing him to Lofton. He has played with and against the three or four top juniors in the state, with exception to Hood and is comparable to any of them. He still puts up big numbers of the summer, and that is not weak lower region competition. Bottom line is he is a player and deserve's to be up there at the top with them. Like you said college coaches know and his list of suitor's has exploded in last couple month's. I am sure they are not contacting him just to be nice, or because they have nothing else to do. You ought to be happy for him and promote him same as the rest because he does live in Ky you know, and just like them his chances of playing D1 ball are exceptional.

That could be said for the opposite also.

That would mean then that the player who is scoring thirty in the weaker region would average 18 in the 7th and 11th and be considered as good as the junior's there that are doing so!:thumb: Not a knock, just reality!

Hood probably is best prospect in the state in 2009. Don't know what you call total package but 27ppg, 6 rebds, 3asst, 3 steal's, 3.5deflecs per game is Ferguson's package. Biggest advantage Hood has on Ferguson is size: Hood 6'6" Ferguson 6'2" In shooting guard perspective Ferguson has the advantage- Ferguson 42% from three, Hood 32% from three Both of them are great player's, both are Ky boy's. Two biggest games Ferguson has played in were in the Khsaa Sweet Sixteen. He had 28 against Shelby Valley, and 25 against Warren Central. He made the Khsaa All Tournament team. District's and Region I am sure would be considered big game's also. Freshman year he averaged 25 a game through districts and region, and was first freshman to get 16th Region MVP award Sophomore year, Districts 25 and 28 Region- played all three games with fever over 101(flu virus) still had 13, 12, 11 and made 16th Region All touney Biggest regular season game probably Cov.Cath had 29. Athleticism= 30" vert 40 in 4.5 First step as quick as Lofton's in High school. Ready for College-- Right now no! He is just a junior Getting recruited-- Yes, by several mid- majors and a couple High majors and recieving letters from lots of high major's. I doubt you have ever saw him play, but he has averaged 19.6 as Freshman 23.2 as a sophomore(Honorable Mention All State) So far this year between 27-28 per game Just a scorer--No - 6rebds, 3 asst, 3steals, 3.5 deflecs per game over last three season's. I don't know what you consider cracking, but Ferguson usually rises to the occasion in big games as the stats above prove. Does he have bad games, yes same as every other basketball player who has ever stepped on a court.

I think Mcindian was referring to post #55 by Lion's mania in which Mr Mania stated he had watched Lofton numerous time's, and Ferguson reminded him of Lofton in high school. I myself have heard several aau coaches, and an Ky All Star committee member state that Ferguson reminded them of Lofton when he was in High school also. He may never reach the plateau of Lofton but he does have a really nice jumper similar to his and is having a great high school career so far. I tell you one way they are similar for sure, they both are only human and they both will have good games and bad games however far their career's take them

The thread was about what juniors "might" represent us in Ky/In All Star game nextyear. Nothing was said about who would represent for Mr. Basketball. You didn't even say nothing about Mr. Basketball in your original post which said Hood, Phare's 1 and 1a rest are pretender's. I really don't know what you mean by the highlighted, but I am assuming you meant WOULD I CARE TO EXPLAIN. Don't mind a bit..........By the same reason you felt all the others were pretender's. Rose Hill dropped Elliott first. I'm pretty certain the last game listed above was an All A game and was not on the regular schedule.

I can see them saying that about the Cov. Cath game at the time. Being it was played almost a month before.

I have been told by top notch officials and have oberved that the good ones never give the crowd a thought. They say they have elephant ears for the players and coaches and mouse ears for the spectator's. I don't recall laughing at all. As for fans not knowing what they are talking about, I am sure that some of them do see calls the official missed or got wrong, due to sitting above the action. Officials do get calls wrong and miss calls. As for the job, (I think you were insinuating I get a different one) I never said I didnt like the stabbings, knock down dragout's, or barely getting missed by the idiot in the van. I wouldn't trade my job for nothing hardly. I was just pointing out that there are lots of tough proffessions out there a lot harder than reffing. :cry: :cry::cry:
