At our school, the football gate money goes to football except for around 10% or so that the AD pulls out to fund general expenses. At times, some of this 10% comes back to the football team in the way of a new lawn tractor or money for field upkeep. Can't imagine it any other way. If cheerleaders or other non-revenue groups want/need money, they work concessions or bingo.

I think it will be interesting to see this matchup. Teams haven't had much success running on BE. Teams that can throw have had some success. North is a poor passing team, but they run well. It will be strength on strength. North has rushed for 2489 yards (276.6 ypg). While the BE defense has only allowed 797 yards rushing (88.6 ypg). I wouldn't be surprised to see a score similar to the game on Monday. Most teams have elected to pass vs. East after watching film. Not really a run-oriented district this year, so it is not surprising that East has not had big rushing totals put up on them. Make no mistake, North will run the ball. With the weather, a score like similar to the JV game wouldn't surprise me either.

You would be correct. However, now that North has put Reynolds at QB they are at least a solid 2-man show. Reynolds has rushed, passed &/or received for 14 TD's this year.

Raleigh is not nearly as fast as Cissell. Cissell has 850 more yards (1880 to 1031) on roughly the same number of carries playing nearly the same opponents. North is as good if not better than last season. Last season they won a couple they could have lost, this year they lost a couple they could have won. The main difference this year is North doesn't have Scroggin at receiver that caught everything that was thrown in his direction and couldn't be covered by 4 or 5 East defenders when everyone at the game knew he was going to be getting the ball. North is bigger and stronger than last year, East is not. North has 8 defensive starters back from a team that held Rakes to 77 yards rushing. East does not have any back that compares in the slightest to Rakes. East does not have the receivers to throw to which is why Broughton has thrown for about 1/3 of the yardage he put up last year. Last year, East averaged 435 yards per game, this year 277 yards per game. Last year North averaged 310 yards per game, this year 350 yards per game. Last year East avg. 44 points per game, this year 34. Last year North avg. 27 points per game, this year 31. Dalton Cissell rushing this year 1,880 yds -- Bullitt East team rushing 1,772 yd The difference will be Reynolds at QB now, making it hard to concentrate everything on stopping Cissell. Cissell is only one "average" game away from rushing in 10 games for what Rakes rushed for in 14 last year. Should I go on or do you get the point.

If you think Cissell is not clearly better than a year ago and clearly better than Raleigh, I would have serious questions about your knowledge of any matter related to football.

The only game Cissell has had under 100 was Louisville Central. He rushed for 74 in that one only playing about 1/2 or so of the game because of injury. His next lowest game was like 167 yards. Very doubtful that East could keep him under 100. More like 150 yards in a 30-14 North win.

Good line doing a great job. 4 of the 5 will be back next year to lead Cissell again. In fact, North loses only 4 seniors that start.

Can't forget about the Bacon kid at Ft. Knox as well. He is putting up huge numbers w/o a lot of help judging from their record.

Big game for Cissell this week vs. Bullitt East -- if he can rush close to his average, Eagles win and finish 2nd or 3rd in district.

Have you ever been to a high school powerlifting meet?? Many other kids his size are lifting that much or more.

Cissell ended his string of 200 yard rushing games last night. He rushed 9 times for 191 yards and 3 TD's in the first half vs. Atherton boosting his average to 9.5 yards per carry for the season. Just to show what type of kid he is, on his last carry of the game, he went 84 yards and stepped out of bounds at the two yard line in an effort to let a senior RB that doesn't play much get a TD. The officials however gave him the TD. I guess they couldn't believe a kid all alone would go out of bounds before scoring. BTW - Last winter, he was benching 300, powercleaning 250 and deadlifting 500 Only other sport is track. While in middle school finished #2 in 100 at middle school state track meet.

In his short varsity career, Cissell has returned a INT for an 83 yard TD and has thrown for 83 and 75 yard TD's on half-back passes. Cissell returned a kickoff 75 yards for a TD the first time he touched a ball in varsity game as a freshman last season. He also sells popcorn at half-time.

Cissell is 5'10" and about 185 lbs. He and another outstanding sophomore, Xavier Bacon of Ft. Knox tied for 3rd in their weight division at the state powerlifting meet last winter (as freshmen). When Cissell was in 8th grade he rushed for over 1,000 yds for North's freshman team that finished 10-1 and rushed for over 2,000 yds leading his youth league team to the championship. Rushed for 1,046 yards as a freshman last year on varsity.

North Bullitt Sophomore Dalton Cissell made it 4 consecutive games of gaining over 200 yards rushing as North defeated Fairdale 42-18 Friday night. Cissell is poised to break North's single-season rushing mark of 1,785 yards set by Kevin Crisp in 1996 next week vs. Atherton at home. Cissell now has 1,659 yards on the year and 2,685 yards through the 1st 19 games of his varsity career. He is averaging 8.8 yards per carry this season and 8.1 for his career. He will also get his name in the state record book for his 99 yard TD run vs. Jeffersontown earlier this year. Not bad for a sophomore. BTW - taking advanced classes and had 4 A's and 2 B's on first report card of the year!:thumb:

Looking at it, I would say he actually has 182 yds. Inadvertent 7 stuck in there.

Move dead period to each schools 1st 2 weeks of summer break so it doesn't fall right in the middle of the summer.

Nominate sophomore RB Dalton Cissell of North Bullitt. Followed up his 313 yards rushing last week, with 266 yards rushing and 5 TD's on 16 carries (all in the first half) in North's 56-0 win over Bullitt Central.

Sophomore RB Dalton Cissell is currently 5th in rushing yds in per game with 191 yds per game. Xavier Bacon, another sophomore from Ft.Knox is just ahead of him. These two tied (as freshman) last winter for their weight class at the state powerlifting meet. Bacon edged out Cissell with a lower body weight. Look for Cissell to have a big night vs. Bullitt Central tomorrow night. I would say about 250 yds to follow up the 313 yards he rushed for last week.

Dalton Cissell - Sophomore running back - North Bullitt HS - 5'10" 185 lbs Rushed 26 times for 313 yards in North's 28-7 win over Jeffersontown. Had TD runs of 54 and 99 yards. Currently has 955 yards rushing thru 5 games.

North Bullitt finished their suspended game vs. J-Town winning 28-7. Sophomore RB Dalton Cissell finished with a little more than 300 yards rushing for the game including touchdown runs for 54 and 99 yards. He now has around 1,000 yards rusing thru 1st 5 games.

North Bullitt and J-Town will resume their game that was suspended Friday night at 6 pm Monday. When the game resumes, J-Town will have the ball at the 11 yard line after a bad punt snap by North Bullitt. North Bullitt's sophomore RB Dalton Cissell has around 170 yds rushing so far including a 99 yard TD run.
