I don't mean to say they can't , but a small school has not won the 8th in my lifetime. WV has enough talent to change this within the next three years. Owen and Gallatin have been close, but it is hard to beat 3 big schools in 3 straight games. A good draw is needed.

I bet Gallatin, WV and Williamstown all bring a better crowd than SK typically brings. Distance and fan support always hurt SK crowd. It should be a good tourney. I would love to see the 4 A schools draw each other. The small schools can't win but they bring a lot of excitement to the tourney.

Also, I can not name an official that I don't like after the game is over. Almost all are good guys and gals off the court. I can't say that for other professions!

I actually believe most schools believe they deserve a raise. I think 100 a game would be fair. I am not aware of any regions paying that price. Mileage to the game and home, training, buying their own equipment, working in typically a hostile environment, demand on their profession, etc, but schools can't afford to pay them what they get now and nobody wants to see 10 a ticket to watch your kids play. I fuss at refs more than most, but I admit they do a good job. The two that were called out to start this thread are still good officials, granted, they are no longer in their prime and they miss some plays, but judgement is what makes a good official, not age.

WV is young also. All of their major contributors are back.

Walton vs Spencer would be a good game. Clinker beard and Miles would give Spencer trouble. Both are well coached. I would take WV. Both have young talent and will keep getting better.

Draud was very impressive tonight. Good win for GC. I was very impressed with Beechwood.

Trimble runs a spread set on offense and plays a zone on defense. WV is hot and cold against zones. Playing a team that doesn't look to score can be challenging. WV has a good team. Don't worry about your 4th in the region assessment. However, they may not make it out of their district. The 32nd could send any of the 4 teams.

No Wilson changes the dynamics of the win. Still a win is a win.

My first thought, is we have trouble with the home team making a mess. It would be nice if people took their trash to the garbage.

Disappointing end to a good game

Two good teams.

They beat gallatin on a half court shot at the buzzer. What goes around comes around.

Anderson is not playing up to its abilities. South is struggling a bit due to illness. Collins is dealing with injuries. Shelby is down. Simon is in a funk. I'm not looking to disrespect anyone, I just don't see a bunch of great teams right now. I see some good teams. Oldham may be awesome. I have not seen them yet. I'm not convinced Louisville is as good as normal. Cov Cath is the best team I have seen. I think Cooper would win the 8th fairly easily. Just my opinion.

They can get $10 a ticket for that tourney. Should be a good one.

I f Walton beats grant and williamstown, they will be the 1 and would play SK, the 4. That means a good team will be staying home. Nothing against Williamstown or Grant, but that would have been a big surprise in the preseason. I had SK at 1, williamstown at 2, WV at 3 and Grant at 4. So much for my forecasting.

I'm not looking to bash anyone, I think Steiner works very hard, knows what he is doing, etc. I thought they woul be top 4 all year. The region is not terrible but there are no great teams. This is a year SK should make some noise. Right now, I wouldn't bet they make the region. They are likely the 4 seed.

No idea about a rule but I think the spirit of the rule is no exchanging of blood borne pathogens. Ref should stop play and wear a bandaid. I saw sandlin (ref) hold up a game for 15 minutes until the correct cleaner was used.

Better respect Walton for the now and the future. Miles may be special and there is a supporting cast.
