  1. Exactly right. Read # 49 of the following link. As a matter of fact, the entire site is very interesting. http://www.titanic-online.com/index.php4?page=faq
  2. From what I've read and seen, it's between Lexington Catholic and Scott County, but you never know! As they say, that's why you play the games!
  3. You asked what everyone else thinks, so I think that you should stay "behind bars", as your location states, and keep your awful opinions to yourself! At the very least, be a little bit more objective! That would also be very appropriate for some of the comments in the "Girls Basketball" forum and the thread about officiating there.
  4. I heard about his comments over the weekend. After seeing your post, I did a search and here are some links that I found. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Music/11/13/britain.eltonjohn.ap/index.html?section=cnn_latest http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2006-11-11-elton-religion_x.htm?csp=34 He must have made the statement on either Friday the 10th or Saturday the 11th. Just for the record, I don't agree with his comments.
  5. Or do anything that promotes his "air time"! I can't stand him or Howard Stern!
  6. I was just looking through some of the forums and while I am not an "expert" on this topic, I do know that the Ashland Invitational Tournament used a combination of local officials and officials from other associations for the tournament during Coach Flynn's tenure. The Christmas tournament at Lexington Catholic is officiated by the local association. I think the same association also works the Berea tournament. With a few exceptions, I think most of the schools that host a tournament use the same officials that work the regular season games. Strike3 makes a good point. I'm sure it's a difficult task.
  7. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Excellent post, but I also agree that there will be someone else to step into his shoes if he really is dead or passes away soon.
  8. Welcome back to the site and enjoy! :dancingpa  :dancingpa
  9. Is it legal in college and / or professional baseball?
  10. I missed this post when this thread was more active. You said it best "Fan"! It is truly a shame when parents are trying to live vicariously through their children and don't know when to keep their nose and opinions to themselves!
  11. Here are a couple of articles I found on line about last's night game. http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/sports/14848439.htm http://www.bgdailynews.com/articles/2006/06/18/sports/sports1.txt Sorry, I couldn't find a box score anywhere.
  12. I guess my friend knew what he was talking about, even though Coach Todd hasn't been named the coach at Transy yet. http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/sports/basketball/14597540.htm
  13. A friend of mine recently told me that the Lexington Catholic coach, Greg Todd, is stepping down to become the head coach of the Translyvania University Women's team. Does anyone else have any more information about this?
  14. Welcome to the site LuckyEddie! We all have a lot of fun here! :thumb:
  15. Welcome to the site! I'm sure you will enjoy posting as well as reading! :thumb:
  16. I recently had it explained to me and I will try to repeat it as best as I can. The head coach is responsible for everyone on his or her bench. If someone on the bench gets a technical foul called on them, then it is an "indirect technical foul" on the coach and he or she has to remain seated for the rest of the game except for certain situations. If a coach gets 3 indirect technicals, then that coach is ejected from the game. If the coach gets 2 "direct" technicals, the coach is also ejected from the game. The way I understand it, he or she could get combinations before being ejected (1 direct, 2 indirect; 2 direct; 3 indirect). If I am wrong, please feel free to correct me. I'm trying to repeat what I was told.
  17. Welcome to Bluegrass Preps! Let me see if I remember this from TV the other day (Boomerang Channel). "Never fear, UNDERDOG is here"!! Is that right?
  18. Welcome to Bluegrass Preps! :thumb:
  19. Here's another welcome from a female on here. No, there aren't too many of us, but the male population treats us very kindly, for the most part. Take care and enjoy Bluegrass Preps! :thumb:
  20. Welcome to Bluegrass Preps WestKY! I'll flirt, but that's all. Enjoy the forums!
