  1. Thank you for clearing that up for me. I watched the film and its real hard to see Russell's numbers so I didn't know if it was their ones or twos.
  2. Don't forget about Wilfong of Newport. Only a sophomore, good one two punch out of the back field along with Glenn.
  3. I think Fleming moved the ball very easily against Russell, just too many dropped balls and the two interceptions killed Fleming. Other than that I think that game is a different ball game. I believe you can't go off of scores from the games before. Really its just who is the better team on Friday night. Thats all you can really go on.
  4. I just wanted to say that we scored 2 TD's on Colerains D, where as Cincy St.X only scored 1 in each game!!! Not that it means anything, it just sounds good.
  5. Jefferson over Hesch & Deihl? I don't understand that.
  6. Ok, for one, Dale is not the Defensive coordinator, in fact he rarely has anything to do with the defense. The Coach that runs the defence is Brian Weinrich (sp). But anyways, a big factor in Franklin County's sucess with passing was the poor form of the drop back zone of the linebackers in the first half, the constantly were just in front of the WR who would catch it just behind them. Once we fixed that little problem at half notice how they had very little sucess. About 55 or something yards in the second...
  7. And by the way, does anybody kno the score of the Lex Cath Franklin County game?
  8. Early in the season our sophmores and juniors still acted like... sophmores and juniors. Now its like having a whole team of seniors because of the experience they have gained throughout the tough schedule. Early in the season means nothing, was Cov Cath not ranked #1 in NKY at the beginning? I pick HHS on this one, jus i dont know the score.
  9. This was one of the best high school football games I've ever seen. The Colrain fans were shocked. I've never seen that big of a crowd on that side that silent. They stood there for a while just in shock.
  10. If you come all the way up the AA Highway make your way to 9th Street and go east and it will take you right to Newport Stadium. The interstate is a bridge right there by the field and there is plenty of parking under it. It is located in the east end of Newport.
  11. Last night I was proud to be a Newport Wildcat and then embarassed when I heard of the incident. I am very sorry for the way that the fans acted. Its been a while since Newport has been this far and they really don't know how to act. That is no excuse though. I hope that the East Carter fans can forgive the Newport community for some bad actions. As for the game it was pretty much controlled by Newport from the start. East Carter players never quit and that says a lot about East Carter's players, coaches, and fans. Good luck to the departing seniors and to the Raiders in '06.
  12. Russel is very good and I hope the Wildcats come out and play and limit their mistakes.
  13. Newport has practiced on turf through the summer, played on turf, played on some nice grass fields, and played on thier own field which is pretty much just dirt. I think they have an advantage playing on their field since they practice on it everyday and they know the land and at Newport Stadium you must know the land becuase in some places it is bad.
  14. Newport played a great game last Friday night and I'm looking forward to another great one this week.
  15. I think this puts more pressure on East Carter. Now they have to worry about Glenn, Wilfong, and Hesch passing or running out of the back field. Could be scary for the Raiders.
  16. Against Fleming he was having muscle spasms in his neck but that should be all cleared up for East Carter so I believe he'll be ready.
  17. Newport has stopped the run very well as of late and from what I hear that is what East Carter likes to do so if Newport can stop the run then they will win.
