I had a friend send me a text message saying something about a Barnhart press conference following the game, but I cant find anything about it. Anyone else heard anything about this?

I believe that its what we send these folks up there to do. If McConnell isn't sending money back to the Commonwealth then he isnt doing something right. That being said, there are some ridiculous earmarks that I think can be done without. The real problem in my opinion is responsible spending. Lets spend responsibly and I dont think anyone would complain.

I might be alone, bit this program has grown tremendously over the past several years and shown huge improvment; however, I believe that in order to be "successful" Kentucky now needs to be COMPETITIVE in the SEC. 4th, 5th and 6th in the SECEast is not competitive imo. Its time for this program to take the next step and beat a South Carolina, Georgia, Florida or all three. P.S. I think a bowl bid is a must regardless for this program to keep moving in the right direction.

I agree. When you play Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina year in and year out thats plenty exciting and interesting for me. However I would love to see UK bring in a bottom dweller from one of the big BCS conferences; a Duke, UNC, Baylor or a Stanford would be perfect IMO. I loved the Indiana matchups of years past and thought it was good for the program. Blue

As important as Meeks and Patterson are I think the determining factor to their success is the play of the other three on the floor. Meeks and Patterson are going to play well, but some help would be wonderful. In saying that, I think Perry and Ramon step up and the Cats go the the Elite Eight! Blue

If... and I mean if, Ashland can beat Ironton Friday night it will be huge. Ironton is not the Ironton of norm, and everyone knows it, but if Ashland can pull off the win then moral will be extremely re-boosted. Ashland has not beat the Tigers since the 1990 season and all of us here in Atown know what this would mean to not only the players but the fan base. Ashland beats Ironton - The season is revived and the Tomcats make the playoffs. Ashland gets beat - I give them chances to beat Boyd and Greenup for no other reason than skill level this year. The 2007 schedule does not have any home games. All six, which 3 are JV, are away. In 2008 The Knights will play a full schedule with 11 games and 6 of those being played at our new home which is under construction right now. Go Knights, Yoter

I think theres no doubt that he is already a success in the College game. He is one of the best QBs in the country. Now I dont know about a Pro career. I think he could get drafted but I think this season will have a huge impact on his success at that level. Yoter

No I meant you cant compare a regular season game, such as Ashland and Russell last year, to either teams post season. Just because Ashland beat Russell does that mean they could have got to the state championship game? I dont know. Just because Ashland got beat in the second round and Russell made it to the game doesnt mean Russell was better than Ashland. JMO

No doubt it was all we wanted, but in this game thats not what matters now is it? And you cant compare a 1 or 2A schools post season play to that af a 3A teams post season play regardless of who wins in the regular season. Raceland is a quality football program and I have said nothing less. Trust me, I wish we had Russell's walk through the playoffs last year, but thats just wishful thinking. Johnson Central could have won the 2A State Championship in the 2nd quarter of the game.
