  1. Their very good , should make for an interesting matchup with LCA! I will be there to see that one , hopefully
  2. Sounds like all of our NKY teams are in for a long day ! Which will only help in the long run .
  3. I believe MC's height will hurt ND. I also believe ND will try and press and will get little benefit from that. Hopefully the ND coach knows how to change the pace of this game . In a half court set MC wins this one. I believe ND wins in a transitional game. Guard play for both teams will be excellent! My heart says NDA , my head says....................................................................NDA!! should be an excellent game. If it comes down to coaching MC will be hard to beat!
  4. I believe NCC and SK will have their hands full. I really don't know anything about Fern. I agree , should be a very good matchup tonight with NDA and Montgomery. Montgomery is very solid as should ND be. Good luck to all !!
  5. You are absolutely correct ,they have the potential to win the region, and I believe they will. I have been told that both of the twins have knee injuries. They will help SK for sure when they get healthy. With Tolliver ,Conley and Farris in the backcourt they will be very solid. I believe Coach Stowers to be the best defensive coach in NKY. He will have them playing great "D" all yr.
  6. I agree with you. I cannot fathom the days she got out of bed not feeling well and still went in. I know when I don't feel well I call the boss and say see you tomorrow, as does my daughter. When she doesn't feel well she certainly doesn't want to go to school:lol:
  7. I think its way to early to crown SK the champs! The SK starters only played half the game last night and they are without both twins right now. They will improve as the season goes along but imo they didn't look great last night!
  8. Congratulations Chelsea! I love you Girl ! Its been a pleasure watching you grow as a player and more importantly as a person. This kid has never missed one day of school her entire school career! Alot of college coaches I have talked to about Chelsea love that dedication. Nice banner and shirts Chels!!
  9. I'll take boone by 7 ! Although they will need to play better "D" tonight against the pass, and I believe they will need to have the ball almost 2/3rds of the second half to pull it out. Two very solid teams. Farris is very good but you don't defeat bc by just stopping Cory.
  10. 9th region- where is Allison Long ? I'm not sure how Conner will stack up this yr. , but Long is as good as any of the top 10 they have listed
  11. I disagree "if" the coach says a Junior can never play JV. There are situations and circumstances that will and can come into play where it would work out best for the girl and the team. One thing a good coach should always remember never say "never"! It seems to me like the best bball player in history didn't even make his high school team until he was a junior. There are girls who have made great strides between their junior and senior yr. I don't know this situation at all but its always easier for everyone but the people involved.

  13. We will be praying for Heather and her family as well !
  14. He may be a motivational speaker, but IMO he certainly is not a preacher or evangelist, and shouldn't be a pastor !! His method of "prosperity preaching" is misleading and fraudulant. God is a HOLY GOD ! There is only one way to Heaven according to God and that is through the blood of Christ! According to the Bible we cannot work our way to Heaven ,we cannot be "good enough " to get to Heaven , baptism will not get us to Heaven only believing we are a sinner and trusting that God sent his only Son to die for us and asking God to save us will ever get us to Heaven. Joel may use the Bible but he has never shared the Gospel message ! I am pretty sure there are better ways to get a good feeling then to waste 19 dollars, jmho
  15. I believe the X'treme was the only Ky team as well , but I agree with INDAZONE, there were probably 15-18 Ky girls at the tournament!! thanks KHSAA!! On the main court ,at one time ,we counted about 45-50 college scouts, with several scouts being at the other 3 courts. Since arriving back home on Sunday night I have spoken with several of the coaches who knew we were going to be there and a couple different schools I haven't spoken to before. I can say this event was very positive for ALL of the Ky girls after speaking with those coaches. Good luck to all the Bluegrass girls !! I am sure their were several Ky girls who did not get to go this yr. due to the time constraints, but I applaud the parents and the coaches (high school and aau ,exposure) that made the sacrifice to get the girls noticed. I know there has been many people trying to get the rule changed for a long time. Next yr. hopefully there will be a couple hundred Ky girls in different events in September, and you will have the advantage of knowing your allowed to play so after nationals or your last event you can just keep on charging ahead !!
  16. I personally have no idea who the "mystery" player is , but as of Sunday , the Salyer family has had no new opportunities to move to the NKY area, or they are keeping it a really, really big secret !!:creepy:
  17. I have heard several times how hospitals have read things wrong, but don't we serve a wonderful , glorious God !! We are still praying for you Coach in hopes to a speedy recovery!
  18. I would have to 2nd this opinion! I believe Coach Stowers to be the best in the NKY area. He is an excellent defensive Coach ! Many things come into play when you are talking about WHO is the best coach. There are several very good coaches who just do not get any transfers , and do the best with what they have. It really depends on what your specific goals as a coach are. Coach Stowers is an in your face type of coach, which has helped him at times and has also hurt him at times I personally cannot say any of the NKY Coaches are just bad. They all have strengths and weaknesses. I don't believe any NKY coach has ever won the state title, but Coach Fookes has 502 wins (I think) . Which is impressive.
  19. 3 of the girls who play on our aau team also won the state championship and the all A last yr. One girl in particular,to date , has recieved 4 letters from colleges that seen the state tournament and almost 70 from the aau/exposure season. I watched every game they played in the state championship last yr. and it was a great time, and an AWESOME event. It was very nice and these 3 girls loved it. I told the girls to make sure every college they talk to , also knows that their high school team won the state tournament. One of the girls told me that not one of the coaches she has talked to knew her high school team won the state. I give them every number to the coaches who call and ask about them. This girl has already talked to well over 30 coaches and not one of them knew her high school won the state championship. So is one exposure tournament at the end of Sept. really that important? You better believe to these young athletes it is, and it is about them. It is pretty sad when these coaches are sending emails to these girls wanting to know where they will be in Sept. and all they can say is our state will not allow us to play in it.
  20. Of the 40+ coaches i have talked to in the last three weeks not one of them knew Ky had this rule , which includes several Ky colleges. I am not sure if we are the only state with the rule but from the coaches I have talked to we are now the only state they know of. It doesn't matter that the exposure runs from March to August , there are only a few wks during that entire time that colleges can be there. One of those weekends includes the last weekend of September! InDaZone did hit it right on the head!!
