I don't understand the gigantic significance of the 1,000 point club. If you're a player worth remembering, people are going to remember you regardless of if you hit quadruple digits. As for letting the kid do it, I don't really have a problem with it. If I was a kid, I couldn't do it. I'd feel cheap and selfish. Same with if I was a coach, I'm not going to make the game about one kid. If I was an opposing coach, maybe. Depends what type of game it was. I'd be more inclined to do it as an opposing coach than a coach of the kid.

The ability of Frederick and Ruthsatz to get space on their jumper with how small they are, and they're ability to make it is really impressive.

A lot easier said than done. Especially when over the past five years he's had to beat Darius Miller, Preston Knowles, Robbie Stenzel and Vinny Zollo etc. I don't think he's the best coach in NKY, but he's gotta be in the conversation. He gets kids to play his style, and regardless of talen, he gets them to perform. I'd go with Code or Brannen. Neither of which have won a regional title either. Who would you go with?

Didn't Carr win like three district titles in a row? He's made 10th semis a few times over the last few years while the 10th has had some really good teams. Very good coach.

If Brossart does not improve from the free throw line, not only a long night but probably a short post season. Free throws win games- same amount of free throws shot from both NCC and Brossart against Bardstown- Brossart 8-26, NCC 21-26.

Scott's definitely established itself as one the teams that can win the tenth.

It may be hard for those outside of the small school atmosphere to see, but to the little guys this is a state tournament.

No. It's not okay. But a punch after two shoves does not equal a punch after getting grabbed and thrown to the ground.

After watching it a couple times, up until the punch, it was the MC kid doing most of it. I was also under the impression before my post that there were just pushes back and forth then a punch thrown. MC guy completely tackled him before the punch. While I don't agree that it's nothing, it's not terrible.

I disagree that it being a whole bunch of nothing. I think it puts a label, albeit maybe unfairly, on both teams. I'm guessing both coaches would agree.

I've seen lots of bumping in basketball games. I've done a lot of bumping in basketball games. Equating that with a punch is just inaccurate. One deserves a T, the other deserves an ejection. Both kids have to have more composure.

I think so. Ever since I can remember that has been the home field, but 95-96 is a little before my time. I'm assuming it was.
