False information - a former Clark Co. Player broke the water cooler the year before in the district tourney. Coach turned over a ball rack in the hall and then replaced it upright and apologized. As for an exchange with Rison - they are In-Laws for goodness sakes they love each other

How may I ask did Coach show his tail? He got a technical protesting a couple of calls in a row. After the technical he didn't say anything else to the refs - he went back to coaching his team. There is such a thing as trying to rally your team through getting a technical. But... I guess it is fashionable in Kentucky right now to sit on your rear end on the bench and not say anything. I'll refrain from saying anything further. Congrats Indians you deserved to win.

Estill Held their own in every aspect except shooting. They shot 2 for 21 from 3 pt range and shot 14 free throws to Montgomery's 27. They rebounded well and were within 5 rebounds of a much much bigger MCHS squad. If a couple more 3's would have fallen it would have been a different game. Congrats to Mont. Co.!

Perry Co hit a half court running bank 3 pt shot at the buzzer to tie the game and send it to overtime. Estill came up a point short in OT. Napier 19 Hoover 19 Christopher 15

I understand, but with no football Lee is in midseason form compared to Estill. Also of note - Charles had 18 points against Estill at Lee last year and Pelphrey had 16 or 17 at Estill. Estill is not playing very well right now, and Lee played above my expectations this early in the year.

Nobody said it was a blowout - All credit was given to LEE. Football is key factor for Estill as the the whole team has been practicing since November 14 and 3 of the top 7 players were footballers. LEE is operating at a much greater percent of maximum potential than Estill. That said Estill may never even reach a portion of that potential.

It was a 17 point lead with 5:00 minutes to go in the game. Estill relaxed and almost paid for it. Lee shot 22 free throws to Estill's 11 at Estill. Lee Co. is a scrappy team and competitive every year - Charles is a nice player and the rest complement him well. I look for both teams to improve with Estill having the most room for improvement. This is only the second full week for Estill's Football players and only second game with all of the players together.

Estill will not be in the rotation - their gym is too small. I understand the issues at hand, but I see no other solution than Estill having to drive to the regional tourney. It really doesn't affect the other regional schools all that much, except when regions are played at Powell.

The 56th is a good district for Powell and Estill - all 4 teams are a close travel. Problem is 14th is a wide spanning region. Are you proposing to cut the region a half hour closer from end to end and extend those teams district travel by 45 minutes?? Jenkins and Estill do not play. Letcher and Estill will be playing starting this year, but the games are on Saturdays. If Estill doesn't have a problem with the travel - why would anyone else?

Estill lost 1 player from their top 8. That player was integral, but having that much experience back is a big plus for them.

Estill Co. played Henry Clay last year and has Lex. Cath at home this year.

Lee County had the Twins and they graduated. Here is a rundown: Powell Lost 11 seniors but has Kinser and Banks returning. Lee lost 7 seniors but has alot of size. Owsley lost the Congletons - but the biggest loss is Coach Parrett. Estill lost Berryman but has their leading scorer back in Christopher, their PG back in Cackling and 7 of their top 8 players returning.
