Who do you think will have the toughest schedule this year to get ready for the tourney? Are any of these going to any big tourneys?

These are probably the top 5 schools in the region IMO, Breathitt had to drop due to their loss of players. JBS and Hazard are probably heads above these others which will make for an interesting All A tourney, then probably again in the Regional tourney.

Other than June Buchanan's game against Henry Clay do any of the 14th region teams play any of the state's top teams? I noticed Buckhorn is playing a couple of the better teams in the 13th region in Clay Co and Corbin.

Estill Co. played Henry Clay last year and has Lex. Cath at home this year.

I don't know about any state powers, but here is some of Buckhorn's schedule, which appears to be loaded with alot of the top mountain teams.

 

Buckhorn has only the following home games: Lee Co., Cordia, Estill, Leslie, North Laurel, Owsley Co and Hazard

 

Some of their remaining road games are: at JBS, Jackson Co., Corbin, Perry Central, Breathitt Co., Leslie, Wolfe Co. and a round robin tournament at Clay County

 

They, also, face South Laurel, East Ridge and Cumberland in various classics throughout the season as well as participating in the Derby City Classic in Louisville and the Walton Sun Blowout in Freeport, Fl.

I didnt realize that just because....its South means they must be a pretty good team. Having said that i realize they do have some tradition, a lot of kids to choose from and an excellent classy coach.

Exactly, that's what I meant by saying "but it's South". No matter if they have 5 All Staters on the team or no big name players, they have the tradition which is very important. There opponents will know that although South does not have the talent like in the past they still know how to win & are used to the pressure.

I somewhat agree with you, but to say they know how to win might not be correct. The studs they had the past 4 years knew how to win, but what they have now I wouldnt exactly say knows how to win and are used to the pressure because the players that actually handled the pressure and got it done at crunch time are all gone.

Buckhorn will , also, have to face Covington Holmes in the Derby City Classic at CAL in early December.

Someone said Lee County may play Rose Hill in a tourney somewhere.

Who and where is Cornerstone Christian and what players has Breathitt lost/added?
