Of course it doesn't. But the notion does make for some good ol' fashion Bird-baiting. :lol:

I really don't understand that line of thinking. First of all, they didn't "handle" the Birds at any point in the game. Their offense was squashed on most plays, but seemed to jump off the hook with a few big third down plays or HHS mistakes. This game really was never in question. The fact that the slaughter didn't begin until the second quarter is consistent both with the way the coaching staff has always adjusted to what they're given and with the fact that they were playing a team with completely unknown players in a completely unknown game plan. So logically, it's going to take a bit of time to get your ducks (Birds) in a row. But this game should have done nothing but reflect positively on the program in general, and this team specifically.
