  1. Anybody go to this game? I just thought Tilghman would have put up more points in this game, unless they didn't want to show too much to the Mayfield coaches that were there,
  2. Yep, gotta give Fulton City credit, they probably don't have more than 70 boys in the school and can produce teams with good talent.
  3. Thanks for the info voice, I was wondering how these boys were doing, I know Harper was at one point tending to one player and didn't see em calling for him to go see another, they were going everywhere!! I saw Logan there without a sling and he was moving his arm around and seemed to look pretty good but you never know. I know he can't want to miss his senior game at Tilghman but he could miss the game to prepare for the playoffs, but if Morris says he may come back, its likely he'll get to play some.
  4. You don't think Logan is coming back for this game? He prob wouldn't want to miss this game for the world, biggest rivalry game in your senior year, but I bet his shoulder won't be fully healed at that point, but who knows, he seems like a pretty tough kid to come out of something like that quick.
  5. Man, at the first of the year, I didn't like Mayfield dropping Hoptown off the schedule and picking up calloway, but so far this season it was a great move!!
  6. I really feel for the guy, we have had similar injuries at Mayfield. Our backup QB broke his arm in the first scrimmage of the season and last Friday our starting QB dislocated his shoulder, so he will be out for a while it looks like. We are on our third string QB at the moment, so I know what you are going thru.
  7. Lone Oak's weak schedule is going to come back to bite them in this one, any team in this area that plays Marshall county and Trigg county to that close of a game has got my respect.
  8. I think calloways' pass defense could be a bigger factor in this game, I see calloway pulling this one out, 36-24.
  9. When anybody gets some stats, please post em in here, thanks.
  10. Your son was handling his men very well, I saw one play where he pushed the guy right into the QB, lol.
  11. Yeah, I was wondering when Noonan was going to get the ball, no handoffs to him in the first half, not even sure they had him on the offense in the first half. Looks like coach morris waited till the second half when Graves defense was wore out and let him run free, he is quite a weapon for Mayfield. Mayfield's pass defense was much improved tonight than in many moons I have seen. I believe Graves' #79 on defense is a stud, he was in on many plays making some great tackles. What a huge line Graves has!! It made us look like a middle school team out there.
  12. Whats interesting is that Mayfield has more backs than either Marshall or Graves. If Mayfield was to key the offense around one of our backs, I believe they could put up numbers just like either one of these two, but thats what I like about this years Mayfield team, way too many backs to key on, .
  13. From what I gather a lot of the Graves folks think they have this game in the bag but I look to their opponents' record, none of them have a winning record this year. Sure they are good teams, but how good this year is the question. Graves played Ft. Campbell in a nailbiter and then Ft. Campbell gets drummed by Warren East, which I am gathering is improved but thats a pretty good beating. Then Graves barely pulls one out to Paducah Tilghman, now I compare Mayfield to Paducah Tilghman this year so this could be more like the Graves-Mayfield game this year. Graves was being beat by Marshall and from the sounds of it, Marshall just thought they had the game in the bag and quit playing and Graves never stopped, its very hard to come back from that in a HS football game when your starters are just going thru the motions.
  14. Good info:thumb: this is exactly what I was looking for. I just hope coach doesn't try the different look on offense this week, I think it confused our boys last year, just stick to what works.
  15. How is F-City's passing game? All I have heard about is their running game at this point.
  16. Anybody know if Trevarthen is coming back for this game?
  17. If Mayfield can play typical grind em out run offense and hold on to the ball for most of the game, I pick Mayfield to pull it out. Mayfield is untested at this point, but I look to the games that Graves has played thus far and they have allowed some points to be put on the board. In a shootout I think Graves will win but if Mayfield can hold onto the ball for the biggest end of the game I think Mayfield can pull it out. If that happens, I predict a low scoring affair, something like 21-14 Mayfield. If Mayfield makes a lot of mistakes, fumbles, we could have a repeat of last years game, something like 28-7 Graves.
  18. Can anybody post the stats of this game in this thread?
  19. I think the verdict is still out on this years Mayfield team, for me. The Mayfield-Graves game should be a doozy and Mayfields' offense seems to really be clicking as well as the defense. The big advantage for Mayfield this year is their speed, it seems like everybody can take the ball and run with it. I think Mayfield lines up well with PT and Ft. Campbell but Graves could give them a tougher time due to their size. But I do believe that this years Mayfield team so far makes less mistakes and mistakes really messed Mayfield up last year. Thats one of the big reasons that I think the verdict is still out on Mayfield, we shall see. Also, it seems like Graves stepped up their defense in this Game, what do you guys think?
  20. Good game by the cards, I was really impressed with our second string, it seemed fairly easy to score against their first string defense, granted they were wore down. I didn't know what to think about DeCole Noonan until tonight, but he really is something else, what a fun back to watch.
  21. Anybody know if Andy Trevarthen will be back for this game?
  22. Murray seems to be better than I originally thought, they have been able to put up some points this year for sure.
  23. Thats pretty much the way I see it. I think that Graves pass defense showed some weaknesses against Paducah, so if Marshall has the ability to go to the air some and keep the graves defense confused, I think Marshall can pull it out.
  24. Good deal, I be getting me one of those for sure, :thumb:
