Pretty confident the Cooper defender lucked out by T-LO hurdling him. If Lorenzen stays grounded it's not going to end well. I will take Lorenzen 10/10 on that Defender if he stays Vertical as the rule states. Not even a discussion and probably was safer if that makes sense.

Highlands plays Campbell Co next Friday! That is the only think we are focused on right now.

Highlands Freshman will Scrimmage Ryle's Freshman at the same time(6:00 p.m.) on the back Grass Practice Field by Gray Middle. Their Scrimmage will be a 10/10 format with no Live QB's as well.

Highlands & Male treat this Night as a True game for One half. A small break and then both let their One's go against each other One more drive and then shut them down. The rest of the Night belongs to JV. The Highlands Freshman will do a scrimmage against Male's Froshmore from 6:00-6:40. Varsity kicks off at 6:45 sharp. The season is finally here.

I am hearing Male only has 20 or so Kids out this year. They have asked to play a Froshmore Scrimmage next week against Highlands Freshman. Highlands has 44 out this year which is about the norm.

NKY football this year should feature a lot of great talent across the board.

Mandated Period set forth by the KHSAA where all Athletes must take that 2 Weeks off in late June early July without any communication from any of their School Coach or School official. We joke around at my House when my Son asks me for some Money during that period. "Um, I am not allowed to talk to you" Remember? Go ask your Mom....LOL!

The one I can think of is the 2023 Semi Final game where Highlands was penalized for supposedly leaping a Defender. It change the outcome of the game as well...JMO!

Agree on all points and yet there are 100's of Matt Shearer's in the State of Kentucky but for some odd reason it's a problem because it's in Ft Thomas. Or at least to some it is. I certainly hope there aren't any Glass Houses in Park Hills. LOL... All good. Love when the Rivalry is solid....

Matt is a 100% unpaid Volunteer. Not sure if that matters but in my Eyes it does. Furthermore, the Football field is currently open to any Human being looking for a place to go. Doesn't matter if you're a Highlands kid/parent or living in Ft Thomas. With the Soccer Complex under construction which is City owned and not locked at any time, I think the School has kind of agreed to leaving the gates open during the daytime Hours so anyone can access. I have seen Matt work kids out at SK and also at Dixie within the last month. Because it's at Highlands it's a problem I guess. Cheaters! LOL... Hope this helps your simple question.

These Numbers are measured through a Tracking system called "Catapult" that the Football program uses. Highlands has 40 players daily that wear a Vest that has a Tracking pod included that Measures all the Daily movement. It is really cool to see real time technology and what each player needs to work on.... We use it to really monitor the wear and tear on our Players. It's 2025...Schools need to step up their game for their Student Athletes.

The Birds travel to Louisville to take on traditionally one of the State's best teams and get a early season program Win. I just watched the 8th inning 3 Run Bomb by Junior and NKU commit Peyton Brown to take the lead. Wow! An absolute Bomb...

Rising Jr Gabe Williams played Freshman Ball to get his reps and also got meaningful Reps on Varsity when he was a Freshman. Did not play JV after the 1st week. Did not even dress because of the 8 quarter rule. He then rolled right into his Soph season and was one of the best Defensive players in NKY. It allowed Gabe to get his Reps plus also play with his Classmates but ultimately gave him Friday night looks that got him ready for the 2024 season. I have been watching Highlands Football for a very long time. Longer than most. I cannot remember a player ever being an exclusively Varsity only player as a True Freshman. And we have had some good ones!

We do not record Dead Lifting at Highlands..... This week is our Test week and today was Back Squat. Tomorrow is Bench.....The 3 Lifts we focus on are -Back Squat -Bench -Power Clean
