That's really good news. I know that we will have one of the better Senior classes this coming season but we will need this Junior class to get some good varsity experience to carry on into the 2010 season. Very,very important to say the least.

Not sure about Kentucky but the best I have tasted is the Carolina Smokehouse in Cashiers North Carolina near Saphire Valley. It is pretty much a hole in the wall place with a mountain feel. It's about a 45 min ride up the mountain from Western Carolina University.:thumb:

Sorry I don't buy he just wanted to go and help build up a Football program and missed Bell so much he wanted to go back. That would be like Dale Mueller wanting to go elsewhere and coach and then think he would be welcome back into Ft Thomas with open arms after walking away. Yeah like Diane Sawyer...Diane went to High School with my Mother-in-law at Lou Senaca and witnessed many families that weren't so fortunate. So Diane knows first hand how tough it can be growing up in a tough environment. She seeing the situation in the Mountains was really no new news to her.

So can anybody tell me since this is the Bell Co/Highlands game thread why Dudley left Bell Co and Coached Bourbon Co for a short time only to return to Bell Co. What the heck was that all about. I have my own theory why but I would like to hear some other reasons why for his short hoodini act.

Well i am one of the people that are going to go ga-ga over what Shawn Grim did. He at least tried to make himself better. It shows with hard work under the harshest conditions that you can make it. It is just a shame that his financial aid wasn't set up correctly so he could live out his dream completely. My heart goes out to this young man.

So unless Alcoa has a Al Michaels who has a son who plays on the football team, I highly doubt Alcoa would be better suited to help recruit their football players than say a Highlands at this moment. Sometimes it's not really what you know, it's who you know. And right back at ya!!!!!:ohbrother:

If I was Dudley I would jump on this offer in a second. I would even agree to travel to FT Thomas next year at whatever expense. The attention that the Highlands program will be getting with this group of seniors next year will be unbelievable. I am sure that Dudley has someone:D or a few players that he would like to expose to the College recruiters. Sure the College boys know what is at Bell Co and would have the same interest as they would if they never played Highlands but i can bet the spotlight would be on a larger scale with the people that are surrounding the Highlands program right now. So what better way to help your players by playing in a Big Time game.

I was at Rupp watching this baby. Scored some last minute tickets and made the drive to Lexington. When Meeks hit the 3 to take the lead, Rupp Arena's roof about came off. I have never heard it that loud. Great game to witness...

So with that i think Adam should go where he wants to go and maybe walk on at a Big School. The kid has the size and strength(sp) to play Big Time D-Line. IMO It happened to Zeke Reynolds in 88 at Highlands, he didn't even get a look at any smaller schools and then he decided to walk on at UNLV his 1st year. Earned a full ride his soph year and became team captain by the time he was a Sr. Maybe being 6"8" and weighing 325lbs had something to do with it. Follow your heart Adam, but for some reason i think his heart is telling him to play on Offense.

Man i wish this kid would of played DL all 3 years. This kid would of been one of the top players to come out of Ky in 2008. Period..
