Fairview has a pretty good defense and a very good coaching staff. Listened to some of the game comming back from Maysville. LCA jumped out early but Fairview didn't give up. As far as penalties, if you don't want flagged don't commit them.

If it were me I would hold Jones out and let that ankle rest for a couple of weeks. Let Cordle take the snaps and gain some valuable experience. At running back I would give the bulk of the load to Bailey. Let him work it out and get Abrams some rest. This game means nothing. Get ready for the playoffs. This is as good as a scrimmage to work on some different things.

SK has trouble running the ball and it sounds like Campbell County actually decide to cover the recievers.

They have enough a kicking game for extra points but not too much beyond that. I think it was a decision that trying to win it now was probably the best option.

Without a doubt one of the sloppiest and poorly played games I have watched. Both teams played hard but neither really well IMO. Way to many silly penalties and careless turnovers. Fumbles and dropped passes nearly doomed Russell. Both teams were very physical on defense. #60 for Mason was very impressive tonight. Jones, Rice, Smith and Foster all had big hits for Russell. Russell played alot of Cover 2 giving up a little bit against the run but the secondary played much better. Drew Abrams was a workhorse. Really ran hard in the second half. Keep it up. Tyler Jones made the play of the game on the two point conversion. It appeared that Mason was going to run a pick route to get the RB in the flat. Jones stuffed him in the backfield and did not let him release. Cox was forced to look for other options and the pass was incomplete over the middle. Was the 2pt conversion the right call? I think it was. It was just well defended. For one player that I won't name. Keep your head up. Instead of trying to make the spectacular play just make the smart play and everything will be just fine. Your team needs you.

Lets hope history keeps repeating itself.

Trying to judge a game by comparing scores of common opponents or opponents of teams that you may have played can sometimes be as misleading as the final score of some games.

No love for your 2nd favorite 3A teams home turf. Henry R. Evans and the flaming scoreboard. On a serious note I've only driven by it a couple of times but Russellville's stadium is really cool looking. I don't know how nice it is but it has character.

Its not in KY but Parkersburg WV has the best high school stadium that I have seen.

Rain or not I still think its which ever team executes the best and takes care of the ball. Short passes, I think the definite advantage goes to the recievers. The same can also be said for the RBs on a running team. They know which way they are going to cut. The defense doesn't. I really don't think the weather would give either team the advantage. I do know I would rather watch the game without getting soaked though.
