What's the lastest on this opening? It has not been posted has it? Looks like they would want someone before school is out so they could meet with the players/student body. Any news from the Hill?

If I'm not mistaken he was the MS Coach at Paris for several years. He also was an assistant for the varsity for a few years. I believe he was also the track coach at Paris. Don't qoute me on this but I think I'm at least close.

Best of Luck to Rick and his staff and the youngmen at Bo Co. It will be an uphill battle but I believe he will do all of the right things.

I believe that Coach Foley has a very great situation at Frankfort and it would surprise me if he did apply. He would do a great job there but I do not see him leaving Frankfort. I may be wrong but wish him well where ever he is next year.

I just heard that long time Coach Ben Pumphrey passed away today. He will surely be missed by many. His former players, coaches across the state and anyone that ever met the man. We love ya Coach and thanks for making this world a better place while you were here. Thanks for all of the lives you touched and being someone we all should strive to be. We will miss you

I thought that the principal was an ex FB coach isn't he? I thought he would be very supportive. Also the AD seems like she would be very supportive. Do they have support from the administration and not the surrounding community or is it opposite? I have always thought this could be a great opportunity but it seems no one stays very long.

Spring football is a big reason KY HS football has improved so dramatically over the past several years. AGREE !! Great to hear it went well. You and your staff will have them ready. NO doubt about it. Thanks

I always though Western Hills would be a great job/opportunity. I understand why coach Engstrand may have left but haven't they gone through several coaches in the last several years? I thought that the administration was supportive, the facilities are great, and the young men seem to be very competitive. Good Luck to Coach E and Henry County and also best of luck to Western Hills in their search. Will they wait the 30 days are have an emergency situation in order to get someone quick?

No matter what obsticles, what adversity, bad luck, etc., the bottom line is Coach Buchanan will give it all he has and put a team on the field that Mason County or any County for that matter will be proud of. Coach B is a person with high morals, high character and simply a class act. Having great knowledge of the game doesn't hurt either. I owe a lot to Coach B and will forever be blessed for knowing him and having the opportunity working with him YEARS ago. My best wishes go out to the young men at MCHS and to Coach B and his staff. Keep up the great job!!!

I've heard that teachers, players, committee members and others are highly upset over this decision. I also heard that it did not go the way the committee voted. If this is the case, then how will the principal get support from any of his committees from now on? I wish everyone involved the best, especially the youngmen that have probably been through a lot lately. Bill has plenty of experience from Harrodsburg, MSU and Greenup that I know of but probably a few more in between. Who are the assistants from the last staff that Bill will have?

When was this actually posted? At the Louisville clinic where someone said they were interviewing or at a later date? Any names being thrown around?

From what I've heard they will return to district in 2007. Not sure, but I think that is what they plan on.
