  1. They do, but Dixie's defense is pretty good too. Bricking is where he needs to be. We'll do alright.
  2. I wonder who we have to beat in order for the rest of the people in this area to wakeup and realize that we are pretty good (NKY 4A). I think if we win state, they'll still find a way to deminish and dismiss it. Only 16 teams left in 4A, NKY has two of them. Next week we'll have one of eight, and still some people just don't get it.
  3. What's the old addage, "be careful what you wish for you...."
  4. Play us now, see what happens. Just be glad we're not in 3A right now. We've owned CCH the last 3 years leading up to this season and we NEVER play as good in the first week as the last week. I don't care what 4A's record is against publics/privates/ or independents. What I do care about is winning the district, winning the region, and winning state. 1 down, 2 to go.
  5. How could we, Neugent, Stahlkamp, Mcguire, Belbot, Wenning, Schaeper, Bagley, Vocke, Denham are all starters on one side of the ball or the other. Great goup of kids! Don't forget Matt Mosier too who will be back next year after an ACL injury which cut his season short. He will be a huge force next season at WR and DB as will Caley Brandon..
  6. Look, I hate to be the voice of reason, but we are competing with Louisville. T and X are two teams that dominate 4A football on either side of their respective brackets, so stop trying to make it look like we're down while the rest of 4A is up. Last season we beat the best of them, and this season ain't over yet. The naysayers are probably the same ones who said 4A is down this year and we will get swept by Louisville. Give me a break. FC is a good team, but Ryle should be playing Trinity this week if not for an uncharactersitic let down and big play by FC. We have good programs too, and what once was a given, is now a question mark untill the games are played. We have 4 more games untill they crown a champion, lets see how it plays out before you drag us in the mud. As is, we split 2-2, it could have very easily been 3-1 in the first round in favor of NKY. I call that competing. And BTW - we have beaten Cincinnati teams, Lasalle 01 and played Elder very close in 02 21-14 I believe. We haven't played one since.
  7. This is the biggest game of the year boys. Really. I know the coaches say it all the time Dixie, but it is. BC is very good, don't underestimate them. They will beat you if you are not mentally prepared for the war your about to get in. Do your job and trust your teammates to do theres, and most of all don't leave any gas in the tank because there is no tommorrow. Make sure you can look people in the eye knowing you gave it all you had when the horn sounds. One and done, or go have more fun, the choice is yours.
  8. Me too.Oh well, they'll get better. It's nice to have somebody do the games.
  9. They have regressed since the beginning of the year IMO. They are still good, just not as good as I expected them to be.
  10. Like I've said before. We have unfinished buisness. BC is good, but we aren't chopped liver. We are finally playing like we can. This team will be ready. How do I know? Becuase I know the character of the kids who lead our team. They never quit, never give up, and never doubt. Will it be close, probably, but loosing is not in these boys vocabulary. Get ready for a war, because it's coming. BTW- who was the psychic that predicted a 31-24 win by the Colonels? I still have it on my door from the night before the game. :scared:
  11. The field has been a non factor due to the weather we've had. I hope that holds true again this week, if not Beechwood's field will be free this week.
  12. Heartbreaking, but great. We had a good one in Edgewood too.
  13. Tuff loss Raiders. I'm speechless. It ended on a block kick, which I, along with everyone there, thought would be money in the bank with the guy you have. My heart goes out to the Raider nation tonight.
  14. Must be an optical illusion then. Do they have a Big Green Monster in the outfield to keep it from being a Coors field?
  15. About 150 ft or so by the look of it.
  16. Can't find it. Somebody else take a turn.
  17. I think the KHSAA has something that lists stadium capacity. I'll check into it.
  18. There line was pretty good this year, but it's almost like they wait for the other shoe to drop. They moved the ball against Ryle almost at will, and against Dixie fairly well too. They just need to work on the mental aspect of the game, and try not to give up the big plays or turnovers and they will be alright. Holmes will be in 3A next season.
  19. I don't think that you can justify this one unless your a homer. They haven't won anything yet, let's talk about this one in a few weeks. If Ryle is still around then maybe I'll start to buy it.
  20. How can I argue with those two. Both have over achieved this season. I'm glad I don't have to decided.
  21. Me and all of the rest of NKY wouldn't have to move. It would be easy to send my kids to a private school. I am against this proposal BTW.
  22. Come on up to the Campbell Co. vs Dixie game instead and I'll buy you all funnel cakes. I'm pretty sure that neither of these schools voted for prop20. They both had gone on record to say as much before the vote.
  23. I'm very surprised at how many public schools DIDN'T vote against it. Somebody would make a good used car salesman it seems.
