  1. So what your saying is the top two teams, in each class, will be upset or not good enough to earn NKY a Finals appearance. Beechwood NCC LLoyd Newport Cov. Cath Highlands Dixie Boone (or whoever the top two teams in 4A are.) None of these will be there in the end? I'll give you a steak dinner if that one happens.
  2. NO. A - Either Beechwood or NCC, who ever wants it more, but one of them. AA - Both LLoyd and Newport have the talent. I believe LLoyd has the intangible "want to" this season and they believe. I think Newport wants to believe, but haven't been close yet. A good motivator could make up for that. AAA - How can you think HHS and CCH won't be there in the end. AAAA - Probably the longest shot at this point in the season. But I think we proved last season that it is possible. We have a very good 4A district this season and somebody will emerge. If you make it thru the district up here, you can play with anybody.
  3. As far as it takes to be able to play ball, I would guess.
  4. As much as I would like it to be true, the streak is only 3 years............. so far that is.
  5. I'll be quietly pulilng for the Jugs this season. I know they're not the favorite, but this years team has the best shot in a while. The backfield is solid and I'd stack them up against just about any 2A school in the state. Depth is an issue, but it usually is at the 2A level. Most of these kids have been playing on the varsity level since they were sophmores, and some of them since they were freshman. There experienced, versatile, talented, well coached football players. I think they can do it. Good Luck Juggs. :thumb: :sssh:
  6. I guess that means I have to be nice.... I can see where your coming from, if we still had to go thru HHS every to get out of the region I would probably feel the same way. Since moving up in Class 4A we haven't developed any real grudge matches, though I think BC would have to be the number one contender for a new rivalry. Conner and Ryle too, Ryle maybe more so, they always play us tuff and tempers seem to flare in those games. I guess when someone beats you for 25 years straight it leaves a taste in your mouth, that and most of the kids have been rivals or neighbors since kindergarten.
  7. BTW- This just proves my point, I wanted to beat CCH so bad I changed one of the previous scores!
  8. As much as I hate to admit it, your right, I looked it up. CCh won in 00 and 01. My bad, sorry to misinform. Dixie has only won 4 of the last 6. Don't know where I came up with 5?
  9. You were a great athlete and even nicer young man back then Mr. Fritz, and I would give just about anything to find out if you were right. As is usually the case, there was alot of history stuff back then. You had seniors Schnieder, Blackwell, and one other senior (I can't think of his name right now), that went to CCH and transfered to Dixie on the '99 team. Metzger, who went to CCH with you as a freshman and then transfered to Dixie started in both the 99 and 01 games.
  10. Shoulda woulda coulda. Fact is, we did. To tell the truth, we should've beat you in 98 too, and if we had more than Sean Randall, we probably would've. You have no idea how much it meant to me (the 99 and 01 wins) on a personal level, and no I'm not CCH bashing, because the Blue Colonels are one of my favorite teams.
  11. I would have to say CCH and the Battle of Dixie hwy. They're not in our class anymore, but seeing how they beat us 25 years straight untill we took the last 5 of 6 years, it'll live on for both us I'm sure. Other than that, we pretty much just want to beat 'em all equally.
  12. Apples and Oranges, just different athletic organizations. There was a time when the NCAA was the little guy.
