Cold day for a ballgame. Reller HR, 2 RBI's - Muench HR, 5 RBI's - Gold 2B, RBI - Jake Daley 2B, RBI. The Birds play Brossart on Monday.

No. They were rained out against Conner. They play today at Highland Park at 4:00 against Silver Grove.

No, there never was a game against Madison Southern even though it was listed in the paper and listed that way on khsaa.

Rosenhagen, Reller and Muench strong on the mound today with 9 strikeouts. Liggett 2 2b and 4RBI's, Muench 2B, and Rosenhagen HR. Highlands plays at Campbell County tomorrow if the rain stays away.

Not much hitting in this game on either side. Highlands only had 3 or 4 hits. What I can remember - Newman, Muench, Rosenhagen with singles.

Great pitching effort today by Towles, Popovich, Head and Muench who had a combined 15 strikeouts.

Other players to watch this season will be Stephen Kowolonek, Teddy Abner, Chris Rizzo and Ben Watson.

No, they are 11-0. Great start for the Kings!

While it was the Colonels first loss of the season, you can clearly see that Walt is in this for the kids, as the Colonles played twenty players, each playing about the same amount of innings, while the Kings played the same ten players the entire game. Why can't we just say nice win Kings. They only played 10 players because that is all they had last night due to some players missing for sectional baseball playoffs and football all-star games. Also the second half of kids that entered the lineup for the Colonels came into bat in the 7th and 8th inning not half way through the game.

Highlands has played CCH twice this year and lost 2-1 in the regular season and they lost 5-3 in the Doc Morris Tournament Championship.

I heard Lexington Catholic lost tonight.

I have Billy Wolfinbarger making the all tournament team, not JJ Hesch.

Newport out hit Highlands tonight 10 hits to 5 hits. Highlands only having hits by Ader, Shields, Muench, O'Brien and Rawlings. Rawlings hit his 3 HR in 3 consecutive games. Rawlings had 4 RBI'S tonight. Towles pitched the first 4 innings for Highlands and didn't have a great outing. Rawlings pitched the last 4 innings. The Birds had 7 errors tonight and I believe Newport had 6 errors. Not a great defensive game for either team. Newports pitcher, Shawn Klass, threw a great game. The bottom of the 8th played out like this - Hesch got on with an error, Tolson sac bunted him to 2nd, Piccirillo struck out, Shoopman was intentionally walked, and W. Price hit a single up the middle to score the winning run.

It started at 4:00 because NCC had graduation tonight at 7:00.

The Birds were lead by an great pitching performance by Patrick Allen. Offensive - Ader 2B and 2 RBI's, Rawlings HR and 2 RBI's, Liggett 2-3 and 2 RBI's, and Allen 2-4. Congratulations to Muench for getting his 40th hit and 40th RBI today. Highlands takes on Newport tomorrow at 5:00 at Highland Park for the District Championship.
