Love the passion but total disagree with the better collection of players. Trimble hasn't gotten a ton of pub but on the season he ave 14 yds a carry+scored ever 4 carries ave. Def 1 of top defenders in the state 6int's w 3 pick 6's. Phelps is as complete as any back in EKY. Strong, fast, big frame, ave 30yd catch. Should be in Mr football running next year. Paintsville is right with Raceland if not better up front. Kids like Morris+Allen under the radar but made plays all yr. Tigers might have best underclassman ilbers in EKY in Keaton. Raceland is as steady as any program in EKY over last 25yrs. I expect they will come out and play hard. Should be a tough game both ways. I think eventually Paintsville's talent will prevail as long as they protect the ball and have no special teams blunders.

Brian's. Got to coach with Brian in the late 90's at Lawrence. One of the best men I've been around. The Brown's are all great men. Sure the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! Brian could absolutely fly!!

Paintsville has a tough task having to ️️possibly beat Raceland, Fairview and Pikeville all a 2nd time this year. Tough beating good programs twice. It looks like Paintsville and Pikeville could be on a collision course for each other in the final 4. It would be the biggest 1A ️game I remember in the mountains rivaling the 80's Beechwood/Pikeville matchup. A lot of ball left to play. Those 2 teams are friends in the Summer, want to put the other out bad and both vastly improved especially on offense since the 1st overtime game. Be awesome to see it happen, be great for small town football!

Wasn't there another Slusher from NKY that was really good? Brent maybe? Highlands?

It looks like a great shot of a Paintsville vs Pikeville Final 4. Both even Districts. Would Paintsville host that game as Region 3 Pikeville Region 4?

Both special kids. I've beaten Trinity, highlands, bowling green, Scott co etc. I get the 1A talk but Kash Daniels is unlike any QB I've ever seen in High School. He's a specimen! Might be the hardest working kid I've ever been around. All adrenaline on the field as good as I've seen off the field with younger kids giving his time. My nephew is #11 Trimble. He had a 5TD 2 ️️game stretch and 5 int's in a 5 ️game span. Phelps might be D1 back too. Been fun watching this group of Sr's. Kids like Kash, Trimble, Childers had to start both ways Varsity since Freshmen year. Got beat to death. 15 players dressed at the end of the yr that yr. Talk of the program being done. This group has worked their tail off and stuck together. Pretty awesome seeing them reap what they sewed. Still Racelands District until somebody knocks them off. Pikeville loaded in the Region. Gotten to know Q a little over the years. Like is Dad he can straight burn a track up. Excited both kids are getting statewide credit.

This should be Lawrence Co's best team in some time. Could make an argument they are for once more athletic than Belfry in the skill spots but Belfry's DLine is dominant. LC has size though kid like Ratliff around 6'4.5 285. Timmy Dalton is one of the best players in the state. Luke Schaffer might be the best TE in EKY down the field. Zack Kassee gives LC that homerun hitting back on every touch they haven't had in awhile. Mosley runs hard and Kiser is a ️season leader dual threat at QB spot. Schedule sets up very nice. Raceland and Belfry games will tell a lot.

What a week and I'd say it's just warming up for one of the hardest workers I've ever seen! Congrats to Kash and the Paintsville program!

Yep add Petrino to the list of college coaches that believe in Kash. Phones are starting to light up! Well deserved! He works so hard!

I think you really have to tip your cap to Coach Chirico too. 3 yrs ago Paintsville had 18 kids and wondered if they could maintain a program. He's built a top 5 team in no time. Mark it down if healthy Kent Phelps will be the next big name to pop out of there! If you're a college coach you better start checking on this kid now. 1,000+ rusher as a Freshman and way better build now.

6'3 230 lbs of muscle! Got great feet too! Went to Rivals camp in Charlotte and tore it up. I think finished top 5 of 250 maybe. Great feedback on his ability to cover TE+RB in the passing game. Hoss for a HS QB!!

They've got a couple of kids that should be back next year that will be big help. As a Freshman Kent Phelps had around 230yds vs Pikeville in the Varsity game. He missed this year with an injury. Maybe the most polite kid I've ever met. Stud athlete! Dad played football at Georgetown. Phelps will be one of the better skill kids in EKY along w Trimble. Matt Miller is another skill kid that might be back from injury. Around 6'4. Arguably top baseball prospect in 15th last couple of years. He went to invite camp at Mississippi St and had a stop at Bama for baseball . Paintsville is loaded at skill again next year. Excited Kash is getting opportunities for his hard work. His cousin was great at Scott Co. Now at EKU.

#11 . Started Varsity PG since 8th grade in basketball. Started both ways Varsity football since he's been in high school. Mostly slot/DB/OLB. They run him and throw to him some. Had 150yds recieving and 75yd kick return for TD at halftime his Freshman yr vs that Fairview team that went to state. Think he had around 10 catches 140yds vs Lexington Christian this year. He's a nice athlete. Good speed, big hands etc. Great kid too. Really proud of him. He's a triplet! All good students athletes. Niece got invited to Sprint at EKU.

No my nephew Luke Trimble is in his class/one of his best friends. Gotten to watch Kash grow over the years. Big reason I'm a big believer. Know the quality of kid he is. Kash just got another D1 offer today from UNC Charlotte. Excited for him he's a good kid. Side note Marshall All American and former Lawrence Co standout Phil Ratcliff is coaching at UNC Charlotte. Awesome guy! Arguably the best player ever from Lawrence Co.

He'd probably be a great H Back/TE. His mentality I think he'll play LBer. Possible DEnd. I think LBer though. His parents have good size so I think he'll still grow. Takes a lot for me to really endorse a kid D1 in this area. He's big D1. LOVES Football and LOVES the grind off season and all. That work ethic and love for physicality put him over the top as not just a freak athlete. Not only did Marshall offer, he also got invited to Rivals camp in Charlotte. Hope UK gets after him. Kash is 1 of 5 in state underclassmen invited on an unofficial visit to UofL today. The last kid I've seen from this area is Channing Fugate from Breathitt who went on to play for the University of Tennessee. He's going to be fun to watch because he's not only gifted size/skill, he loves the game and works his tail off. That drive/passion for the game is a difference maker at the next level.

Saw Paintsville maxed yesterday. Kash benched 330! It's hard to remember a Jr quarterback with his physicality! He broke the rim tonight on a pregame dunk!

I've been fortunate to coach at and against the best schools in KY+WV over the past 17 years. I've also been fortunate to really know Kash. I will be shocked if some nice D1 offers don't come in. He is the best kept secret in KY. He's got schools like UofL, Purdue etc looking. I hope UK gets in the mix. For the people who saw Scott Co win it he's Scott Daniels cousin who was up for Mr Football. Kash has outstanding size/speed but for me what makes him special is he is a FOOTBALL PLAYER!! He is PHYSICAL and he works his tail end off! He can't get enough of it! That drive is going to make him successful! He's a horse for a QB. College wise he'll probably end up at a Lber/TE spot. His tough mentality I'd say D.

1st snub I thought of too. He deserves better. Didn't get to see Laffyette this year but they must have had serious talent. Great to see Kash Daniels get 2nd team.
