Hensley can't turn down a job that wasn't offered. Maybe he is trying to save face??? The search committee held another interview last night and will announce a hiring possibly early next week. IMO, It will not be Hensley.

That sounds as if Belfry has always been king of the mountain. The Belfry v Pikeville series split in the early years...Pikeville had some pretty good teams in the 50s and 60s too....1955 Pikeville team was undefeated and "mythical" state champion. Pikeville football has been around a while too. And in your own words "Pikeville and Belfry are both class programs but you need to understand some history"

Sorry, you seem offended by my questioning a long term contract, no matter how it is drawn up. No, I am not affiliated with the community and I suppose, you could say it's not my business but actually with Boyle County being a public school system, IT IS the business of all KY taxpayers. BTW...I think it is an extremely good hire(if it happens) for KY football, not just Boyle Co. I think it is exciting. Just my humble opinion, respectfully submitted. I do not mean to offend anyone with these posts.

Your re-post of the eky players that did receive mention or 2nd team probably reinforces the point that the voters didn't see much EKY football(or simply didn't pay attention to anyone unless it was the ball carrier)...some very deserving left off....some mind boggling that ARE listed on any all state team that weren't even the best in the county at their position.

The AP teams (and rankings for that matter) have become a joke. The AP ALL State team should be renamed... "The AP ALL Whatever Area Our Voters Cover Team" I know it's kind of long but better defines what the team truly consists of.

KHSAA won't allow it.

Even if Belfry allowed it to be on site, It might be a wasted trip if it's only fired upon scoring.

Silly was my opinion. As far as the argument that this exposes kids to other teams and other parts of the state is a complete contradiction to the KHSAA argument for "staying within" during the first two rounds "due to travel expense issues". Doesn't matter, except it destroys typical regional rivalries that have developed over the years... Just a couple of examples...since when have Pikeville and Lexington been considered the same region or Prestonsburg and Louisville or Letcher County and Ft Thomas??? Also, just because several other states do not have a static system does not make it better...several other states also divide basketball into a class system for the state tournament...Is that better??? Other states also use some disjointed point system to determine who makes the playoffs...Is that better??? I know I sure would not want to see playoff teams determined by any kind of poll.

Actually it was implemented last year with a scheduling grid now needed to decipher the matchups from year to year...one of the silliest thing the KHSAA has done in recent years if you ask me.
