If true this is not good news for Sessions. Could cost him his position. Chuck Schumer made an announcement before the press that due to the latest revelations that Sessions needs to recuse himself from an investigation of Russian involvement in the US election because he himself may be a person that is investigated. He's asking for a private investigator.

Powell's Napier is having a bad shooting night. Radio said he was 2-11 from the field and 1-3 ft. They have to have his A game to have had a chance. -
:lol2: I've never seen that presser before. That's a classic! Does anyone know who asked the question? He definitely got burned. I was at that game. UK was darn fortunate to win.

I don't think it got too bad here in southeast Kentucky. I heard some thunder last night and rain, with some wind gusts, but nothing like what is being mentioned and shown in this thread. We had some heavy rain, though.

Classes in Girls Basketball - Needed ???
The Professor replied to sportsmaniac's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
That statement is old and overused. The flip side is one can't take a mule and win the Kentucky Derby. Sometimes the talent isn't there regardless how much you "practice hard". That's why Piarist and Riverside Christian have never won a district, much less a region. -

That's an intriguing article. The universe is so big it is mind blowing. You can go to youtube and type in, "How big is the universe" and there's some great video presentations explaining it as best as possible. -
Classes in Girls Basketball - Needed ???
The Professor replied to sportsmaniac's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
My cousin taught 35 years in Franklin County, Indiana. He also coached as an assistant in basketball and football. He's told me several times that when Indiana voted to go to class system in basketball that it destroyed their tournaments. They're now watered down and the attendance is not good at the events. He says many coaches in that state that he occasionally sees tell him they wished the IHSAA had never changed it from one class. -
If Leslie hits three pointers and free throws like they did in this game then they're going to be hard to beat in the tournament. They rained 3's from everywhere, and missed 2 foul shots, and I don't have the stats but I would think they shot somewhere around 25-30 attempts. Great shooting team. Owsley cut the lead to 11 points with about 4 minutes left in the game but Leslie stalled the ball and the Owls were forced to foul, which was as good as gold for 2 points each time they went to the line for the Lady Eagles. Leslie's press was effective in forcing turnovers, and the way the 15th region refs allowed for physical play on defense it worked in Leslie's favor. There was quite a bit of bumping and slapping in the press with nothing called. That was a disadvantage for Owsley, particularly with them playing two 8th grade and small guards for much of the game. Ironically both 8th graders fouled out. Owsley's junior 6' forward Macie Gibson, who came into the game averaging 29 ppg, finished the night with 39 points. But Leslie was too balanced and too accurate with their shooting to allow Owsley back in the game. They're a very good team.
