  1. I would think that a team that went all the way to the final 4 in the state of Kentucky last year would have to be considered a "proven team" as well. Not sure I understand your statement. Just exactly how does picking Wheelersburg make that a smart pick, just because they are from Ohio?
  2. With Louisville Central and Belfry still left on the schedule for JC, I kind of doubt that.
  3. After reading threads from the last two years from Ashland fans, you would have thought that Coach Hart was Vince Lombardi. Wow, it's amazing how quickly someone suddenly loses their ability to coach.
  4. Always just a minute behind you Hillbilly. You've got it from here on out.
  5. 5 minutes to go in 3rd South Floyd 14 Paintsville 12
  6. 45 yard TD pass from Ratliff to Welch.XP good. Johnson Central 46 Bryan Station 7
  7. Touchdown Grim . XP good. 3:57 left in 3rd quarter Johnson Central 39 Bryan Station 7 Grim now has 220 yards rushing.
  8. Ratliff to Welch for the TD . Two point conversion no good. 7:56 left in the third. Johnson Central 32 Bryan Station 7
  9. Half -time Johnson Central 26 Bryan Station 7 Grim with 4 TD's and 180 yards rushing
  10. I think that everyone realizes that Thomas is a great athlete, but you are 100% right in what you are saying about the games against JC last season. Maybe he was a totally different player when he played against other teams because I saw none of those games. In the first game against JC, Thomas got his bell rung early and wanted no part in carrying the football the rest of the game. Perhaps QB is the best position for him to play.
  11. They just kept making them smaller. If you notice they also have had 50 cent versions for some time now. I guess they could not make them much smaller.
  12. Back years ago, It was referred to as Johnson County Central a lot, but whether or not that was ever the official name I dont know. It has been many years since I have heard anyone call it that though.
  13. Kind of what I thought STRIKE. I have heard some people say that it is very similar, time wise, in recovering from Tommy John surgery.
  14. Just a question based on ignorance , could it possibly be because he is not rehabbed to the point of being able to play this year? I think he told me that he tore his labrum, correct me on that if wrong. What is the normal recovery rate and rehabilitation time for a torn labrum? I know players that have gone through it, but it seems to me that they were not fully ready to go after a year.
  15. Yeah, you are right on that , he was a 2005 high school grad. Curley was the '06 grad from Beechwood.
  16. Not really, I think it amounts to something like .3 of a scholarship. The one thing that may make it appear to be more is the cost of tuition is generally twice the amount or slightly better than twice the amount that most instate D1 schools charge, thus more dollars to utilize , but percentage wise towards covering the full costs of tuition, probably not any different. I agree with you that Hagan is very good for the Mid-South but Shelton and Sanders are by far the class of the Mid South.
  17. That is true most freshmen are not getting much if any money, but the same holds true at Campbellsville, but you dont see the turnover rate there. I like Hagan as a guy to talk to, but I can see where a lot of kids would have trouble adjusting to his style when they actually begin playing for him.
  18. Maybe Slusher could have been one of the Mid South's best pitchers but he never made it to the conference part of the schedule . All the games he was involved in were very early non conference games. He told me that he was peaking at around 91 before the injury. So in one respect, you are right he was getting a very good start on being one of Mid South's best as he was throwing very well before he went down. I cant speak for the Apro boys but I do know that Compton was very unhappy, but it was not all baseball related in his decision to leave Georgetown. He transferred to UK in large part because of what his major is.
  19. Cumberland vs. Campbellsville is pretty intense.
