  1. I personally do not care for Papa John's pizza. I agree with you that it is garbage. That being said, this is going to be the norm for companies and the larger the company, the higher the price increase.
  2. Absolutely not the first time. And every time the American public suffers by paying higher prices for products.
  3. Privatize the postal service. It is a waste of taxpayer money.
  4. Who did people think was going to pay for this? CEO's are hired to make companies profits. If the CEO does not maintain a certain profit margin, then he or she will be out of a job. This means they are going to cut hours to avoid penalties and raise prices of the product. CEO's are not going to make companies less money and say, "don't hold me accountable, it's Obamacare's fault."
  5. Paying the delivery driver. A lot of people do not give tips.
  6. Because if SK wins, he will brag. If SK loses, he will make excuses. Rankings are meaningless. How does the AP rank teams they have never seen play?
  7. If the key offensive players for the FC are having to play defense against long Cooper drives that end in TD's, it could take away from the explosiveness of the FC offense. IMO, if Cooper is going to win, their offense is going to have to be their best defense. Control the clock, the tempo of the game and finish with TD's. If it becomes a high scoring affair, I think Cooper may have trouble keeping up. Cooper seems to score a lot of points because of playing great defense and getting the ball back for the offense quickly. This should be a great game.
  8. What is your point? Did it bounce off a crow that you later served or ate?
  9. IMO, Kuntz is a better passer, but Barker is a better football player. If Barker does not work out as a QB, he could still play multiple positions well. Both are nice players.
  10. Cooper, Conner and CovCath would have allowed for some success, but also expoited weaknesses in schemes and positions that need work. They would have been competitive games. I bet after the X scrimmage, you thought. 'Man, we need better players'. Huge difference!
  11. Are you naive enough to believe that one 2-9 season cost you 11 kids after a State Title Appearance in 2008, a Semifinal apperance in 2009, and a regional final appearance in 2010? You don't lose 11 players because of one bad season after the run of success SK had before last year. My bet is those kids were looking to leave regardless of your success. Back to SOS, it matters for teams trying to win State Titles. It does not matter for teams that are trying to get some wins and rebuild. Nobody on here thinks SK should schedule a monster schedule, but they would have absolutely benefited from playing 1 school named Cooper, Conner, CovCath, or Highlands during the first 5 games. Scheduling is tough and after SK's success the 3 years prior to this scheduling cycle, I wouldn't be surprised if Conner and Cooper told SK 'thanks, but no thanks.' IMO, had SK played Highlands, Cooper, Conner or CovCath, they would have lost the game. They would have gone into district play a better team with a record of 5-1 instead of 6-0, and have the exact same record of 9-3 right now. Regardless, SOS matters when trying to win titles. There is nothing wrong with playing less of a schedule to get some wins if that is what is best for your program. The fact remains that SOS is not a myth regardless of SK's post season success. Playing tough teams make teams better. Playing weak teams give teams a false sense of worth and security.
  12. Do you find it ironic that your kid lives in Boone County, but attends Simon Kenton for largely selfish interests? Nobody has any issue with this, but you have an issue with other kids that transfer. Families are allowed to transfer their kids no matter the reason, selfish or not. Some issues the previous school can control. Some things, they cannot. The key is to figure out why the kids transferred and whether or not it was something in your control. If it was, fix the issue. If it was not in your control, move on and prepare the next kid. Kids want to go to Highlands and Beechwood to win state championships. Families are okay with this because their kids get a great education while doing so. Why is this so hard to understand?
  13. Not to reign on your excuse making parade, but Scott County has a 2 year average of 1208 boys. Simon Kenton has a 2 year average of 836 boys. Dixie has 757 boys. Scott has 563 boys. Kenton County High School would have a 2 year average of 2156 boys. Before you dispute this, this is per the KHSAA enrollment numbers. http://khsaa.org/reports/enrollments/2011and2012averanegschoolenrollmentbyenroll.pdf
  14. So they chose to lose to Campbell in the regular season due to the inability to run the ball (ie. Time of possession and leaving the defense on the field)? They could have run it, they just chose not to? Why did they change their defense for the second Campbell game?
  15. Wow! So the SK coaching staff just randomly decided that they needed to run the ball more based on zero quality information? It had nothing to do with being exploited 3 times for the inability to run the ball?
  16. So this had nothing to do with losing 3 of the last 4 regular season games against much tougher competition than the first 6 wins? Do you really believe if SK had won all of their games they would have made the change to running the ball?
  17. Most of the time if there is an ADA agreement, there is no tuition. If there is not an ADA agreement, there is tuition. I have noticed a lot of ADA agreements in my area have gone away in recent years. To add to this, Public schools also cannot, by law, offer tuition assistance, work study programs, and financial aid to help kids pay for tuition.
  18. Why is that? Do X or T have some type of advantage that other schools in 6A do not have?
