  1. Austin didn't play offense last year so these are all defense and special teams returns from his sophomore year.
  2. These are from last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sGmjfGl_IU
  3. This is way too easy to catch fish on that hook. I don't even have to bait it.
  4. The other two td's were both by Ollie Head, a one yard run the other on a pass from Tony G.
  5. It was when they went to the air down field or on a screen. Dale could have made them pay in the 4th. He largely chose not to throw and grind it out on the ground for the "W".
  6. Congrat's to Central on a playing a tough game. They do have some studs. I look for the re-match with Belfry for the AAA title. If Highlands played in AAA this could have been the state game final, though Belfry would have presented itself as a formidable opponent.
  7. I thought I would throw that hook out there to see who would bite first.
  8. St X ~1600 Boys HHS ~ 400 Boys - public school Yeah maybe they should
  9. I was worried that Central might have more speed than Highlands and cause them some problems. After last year, Central could sneak up on HHS and Highlands was clearly the team with more speed.
  10. That coronation may be a little early but with the way the defense is playing it could be tough to lose if you can't get scored on.
  11. Tony Guidugli is one tough dude. He had some nice long balls tonight and ran well too.
  12. Adam Dempsey man-handles another SEC D1 guy for the second week in a row!!!
  13. Austin Collinsworth returned the opening kickoff for the birds for ~ 85 for the first TD. Austin had several other great catches and runs. Nick Buten fought off a defender for a great catch. Brandon Roller had a nice middle screen that went for a score. Brandon also move to a monster type outside linebacker position and absolutely played awesome. He hits hard from the inside moving him farther out shut down the option and it gives him a bigger head start to crush people. The defense was stellar!!!!
  14. It was a St. Luke Champions Bowl game. Central had a good squad that year is was a very competitive game.
  15. Congrats to both freshman squads on a great season. Congrats to Beechwood on the victory last night. On the cheerleading issue: It has nothing to do with Title IX. The freshman girls try out and make the JV team. There is not enough interest left to have a freshman squad for those that don't make JV. If they don't make JV they pretty much don't want to cheer. The JV cheerleaders don't even cheer for the JV footballs games. A few years ago they had like 5 frosh cheerleaders. A couple quit and then three remaining didn't want to cheer with just three of them and eventually stopped cheering at the games. This is a problem that could easily be fixed by the administration and the new sponsor.
  16. This was bad too . A few more edicts and the stands the attendance at the Madison Central game could look good by comparison.
  17. Seriously though, I agree that the kids get unruly. I have had to break up a few fights in the north end zone over the years. Which is where most of the young kids hang out. I find it a little annoying to try to walk through them to get to my seat but...... I think it is far more important that they come to the games and think of it as fun and want to come and become fans than to regulate them to not want to come and lose them possibly for forever. I am not saying that they should be left to go crazy or anything. Just that they shouldn't have to be told that if they come to the games they have to sit in the stands the whole time.
  18. My 6th grade daughter wanted no part of going to the game because of this. Grade school/middle school kids have been running around at the games acting like.....well......kids for a very long time. That is part of the appeal. By the time they get to 8th grade they usually sit in the north end-zone bleachers. By the time they get to high school they move up to the stands. I really think this will reduce the number of kids that go to the games. That will have a lasting effect because if they don't start coming as youngsters, not as many will go when they get to the high school. It may keep kids from playing because if they don't go to the games and learn to idolize the latest version of Jared/Derek etc. they may just stick with soccer.
  19. What blame, that was a 15-0 team. Watch the tape see what I mean.
  20. Mine too, but there was a weakness and CovCath went after it all night.
  21. I read an interview with Coach Herrmann where he said the players voted on it and chose the H-Wing. I love Coach H but I don't remember getting to vote. Good!
  22. Probably, I think he still carries the same one. I hope he has washed it since then.
  23. They could all play for Dale. They would be skinnier though 'cause Dale would run them more.
