OAD-the statements made in this post are totally incorrect. Check your facts before posting. Too many times people assume things, and think they know what happened. Sutton was never told the job was already filled, he was encouraged to apply. Coach Hampton was not told he had the job before the interviews, the super did not instruct the principal on the hiring procedures. As stated in earlier posts, the principal could have hired anyone he wanted, nothing illegal about it. The principal opted to go with a committee, the decision was made based on the highest scoring candidate after interviews were conducted. If you know someone on the committee, I am sure they can tell you how the applicants ranked after interviews.

Cannot answer that. I do know Hampton was the 1st choice after all interviews were conducted. If some on the committee wanted Leach, looks like they got what they asked for.

Hampton was hired out of the same interview as Leach, nothing incorrect about it. He asked for 100% support from the hiring committee if he was selected to be coach. Some on the committee began complaining less than 24 hrs after he accepted, he held true to his word, and declined the position before officially resigning at Lewis. Smart move IMO.

I find the tone of this thread very surprising. I would think Rose Hill would buy Kidwell two championship rings for having discipline and integrity in his program which got them two prized transfers and thus two region titles.
