  1. I don't think anything will compare to the amount of conditioning and the mouthful that these players from somerset will receive this week in practice as well as film time, some very necessary adjustments in the secondary and Somerset could win this game. its obvious that they have their offense together somewhat considering they put up 49 points against PC last week, terrible defense or not that still is some impressive numbers.
  2. Pulaski Co. over Somerset for sure, IMO.
  3. good lord I love college football season, especially UK. UK-45 EKU-9
  4. 5-Tennessee 3-Notre Dame 3-Auburn 1-Florida State 1-Colorado 1-Georgia 1-Boston College 1-Missouri 1-Oregon 1-Minnesota TB-45
  5. This game will come down to the wire like the past two games before this one IMO, hopefully SW can pull this one off and not let a hailmary beat them with 25 secs. left like they did last year, everyone better button their chinstraps tight cause this will be one hard hitting football game. If the boys from SW don't wrap up Friday night then they may be in for a long one. But I think this should make out to be one heck of a football game, could go either way.
  6. Campbell County Louisville Male St. Xavier South Laurel Total Points-161
  7. I think the first half will stay close, after the halftime meetings though I cant see Rock coming out flat, shutout in the second half for The Rock. Rock-41 Wayne Co.-14
  8. Wow, looks like the purples are going to be a force to be reckoned with yet again this season. good luck to both teams for the rest of the season.
  9. Noone really is questioning coach Cobbs decisions on gameplay; at least im not, but I was just curious why you wouldn't condition and be more concerned about your players stamina going into a game when alot of them go both ways. And it is beyond me why as much money as the Somerset school district has why they cant afford a new central air system for their pride and joy which is SHS football or SHS sports in general for that matter, I mean you would think they would be right on top of it but obviously not, or maybe they are still a little ticked off at Cobb for when he was going to leave his players in the dust like he did (before he came back).
  10. First off let me start by saying that was the best tackling by a high school team that I have saw in a while, kudos to the MC players and coaches who have helped mastered that. Second, how long has it been since the Ad's have been beaten at home?
  11. Not only did they break on the ball nicely but I think someone can vouch for me by saying that was the best tackling I have seen in a high school football game for a while. I cant remember more than 3 or 4 times where if an Admiral was hit he didnt go down.
  12. Now now fella's, I think this is getting a little personal, yes Southwestern has lost in the first round of the playoffs a couple of times thanks to the likes of a very talented Dunbar team in 01' i believe it was as well as Bullit East, I believe who im sure the warrior faithful wouldn't like to talk about, but I think the only point being made here is, if you are having a football game that day, why for goodness sake would you be sitting in a hot room for 3 or 4 hours. whether you are practicing or not you are still robbing your body of energy somewhat. And as far as your comment losing in the first round, thanks for proving a point that I would like to get to, SHS has been around for 82 more years than the program at SWHS so of course the bad and the ugly are going to be more "out there," considering the program has been in existence for 13 years I believe, I dont know about you but I dont know many schools who in their first years came and won the state championship, (besides mercer of course) which was consolidated by 3 schools I believe. However you did fail to mention that for the past 2 seasons SW has won more playoff games than any of the games before that which I believe is none. I dont think you can consider the SW program as "an easy first round knockout team," anymore.
  13. Both young teams, but regardless its usually always a good tight matchup between these two teams.
  14. Its always a shootout between these two cross-town rivals. I'll pick south by a TD. SL-39 NL-32
  15. Wow, coach Cobb actually had his kids seven hours in the heat before such a big game? Thats some pretty interesting information maroonmadness. Sounds pretty obvious then why Cole left the game cramping...
  16. Let me just start off by saying that SW has a very young team this year, they graduated somewhere around 20 or 21 seniors last year in which about 15 or 16 were starters. Everything can only go uphill from here, keep your heads up men and work harder everyday.
  17. Wow. How long has it been since Danville has been beaten at home?
