I think is the part where Danville's success had a part in Boyle's foundation. Those players on the first few Smith teams had grown up watching and seeing their friends at Danville winning state championships and they were willing to do whatever it took to bring their program to that level. It was a marriage made in heaven. A skilled and highly driven coach with a bunch of players who were willing to sell out to be champions. Once you develop that attitude, the rest becomes a lot easier, even though easy isn't the right word.
