I think St. Henry would have lost even with Schmidt. It was turnovers from Mason County's pressure that did in the Crusaders, and Schmidt wasn't exactly their best ball handler.
Mason County also I thought looked leaps and bounds better in the finals than they did in that game.
I watched that St. Henry team play a lot of games. They were a very good team, but I don't think they were one of the 10 best ever from NKY. The CovCath team from the next year was every bit as good.
Both good teams, and I enjoyed watching both of them play a good deal, but hard to imagine either of them in the 10 best.
Bramblett from Oldham will defintely get more than a "sniff". He was a very, very good running back. I'd also say that Drees should make at least honorable mention. He is having an amazing year and putting up some big numbers.
