  1. Take Portwood off the list. He is probably going to end up NAIA after being recruited by EKU and Colorado early in the season.
  2. I'd say it definitely does. Could the UK staff have directed him to SC? Interesting thought. Discuss...
  3. I'm planning on making every session, although I may cut out early on the Thursday early session due to the UK game.
  4. I know what you are saying about him losing his job and having to move. In the same vein, I think you are missing my point about where he ended up is not a case of luck.
  5. I'll have to check tomorrow then and get back with it on here tomorrow. Someone should make a post mid day and remind me.
  6. So why not Catholic, LCA, or Dunbar since daddy will be working in Lexington anyway? Euton could go to any of those schools and be the number 1 option from day one. Not necessarily going to be the case at SC.
  7. It's kind of amazing to me though. It's pretty obvious a lot of schools in the 11th dont care for SC ro Lex. Cath. but if a kid at those schools proves to be the best, they get the credit for it. Heck, Hicks won coach of the year this year and I dont think there is a doubt that it should have gone to Ligon.
  8. Did Victor, Barnes, Swanagan, etc. in that time period not get player of the year either? If not, then its obvious.
  9. I think Buckner has turned out a little better than Scott as well. :thumb:
  10. The company that closed, Woolpert, had offices in Cincy, Orlando, Raleigh, etc. What is to stop them from moving to NOKY and having him work in Cincy and let Euton go to one of those schools? Wouldnt that be the easy thing since they have an office up there? Instead he decides to change companies. Luck? Not quite. The SC program drew them there.
  11. You think he randomly landed in Scott Co? It's more about SC being a GOOD program, than a LUCKY program that he ended up there. He very well could have been at Catholic or any of the other schools in the city. Because SC is "good" is how he ended up there. Nothing to do with luck really.
  12. Does Henderson have any offers from any of those schools? What year is Johnson?
  13. I understand there is a lot of disdain for UHA out there, but why hold it against the kid?
  14. Probably so. The main thing that I do like about what he is saying is it basically puts any Toyota rumors to rest. The fact that he is working in Lexington and still wants his son to go to SC speaks very highly of the program at SC.
  15. Who are looking at the two Holmes players?
  16. The two guys that probably took most of the shots in JaJuan Smith and Lofton will be gone. T. Smith, Prince, Crews, Williams, etc. look to get more shots next year, but none of those guys are going to be a great pure scorer. Hopson is. He can get his shots in Knoxville as well.
  17. It is hard to believe, but it does tell a story on what the coaches in their region think of Scotty. I could see Hopson turning down the opportunity to play in that all star j.f. I believe high schoolers are only allowed to play in 2 or 3 of those all star games, and one is obviously the McD's game. I think it would be very likely that he plays in one of the other big ones like the Jordan game and if he were to decide to stay close by possibly the Derby. Nothing should be made of him him skipping that game. I have doubted the philosophy on UK recruiting Hopson, but if BCG got Joe Crawford to become one of our best defenders I am not going to doubt that he could get Hopson to play hard on both ends.
  18. Someone also said that Jackson's mother was on injury leave from Toyota or something. I suppose that would tie them to Scott Co. if she were to come back from that. I believe the Jacksons are originally from Lexington. I think daddy Euton is being a little too outspoken and specific at this point in time. He has talked to Demling and Fields already and been very specific about it also being a basketball move. I dont think it will have an effect on his eligibility, but it projects the wrong way and will lead to a lot of the talk that we are already experiencing.
  19. I find it laughable that so many players are being labeled as the fact that they could be a "great player" at the D1 level. Very few guys fall into this category and now about 6 or 7 kids from Kentucky are going to fall into that category from the same class? Please.
  20. Jim, I might be forced to join you at the Radisson at some point this week. :thumb:
  21. You pretty much have to have the hook up to get seats on the sides in the lower arena or have been getting them for a few years. I wont reveal how I ended up with mid court lowers. :sssh:
  22. Yes. There are always uppers available.
  23. I heard he already found a job with an engineering firm in Lexington.
