^^^I'll agree, Hazard's secondary looked very solid both games against Pikeville. They seem to stay at home well also, and they have the ability to make plays.

Are you sure that was regional championship??? WYMT reported that it had been 20 years on Sports OT Friday. And I don't think Hazard will beat Pikeville for quite awhile. Pikeville will be foaming at the mouth to play Hazard from now and will have a ton more talent coming up.

Have you looked at the Pikeville film??? I'm assuming you have... IMO Hazard had a brilliant game plan. They figured they were a huge underdog, so they ran the ball and ate clock as much as they could, even though they are a better passing team. They tried to hang around and keep it close, and try to have a shot in the 4th...If Pikeville would have got up by a couple of scores early it would have been over, and you would have seen a result like the first game between the two. Somerset must come out and get up on Hazard by a couple of scores early ...don't let them hang around and shorten the game. Somerset will do this IMO and take care of business...

The poster you told to cry you a river is a Belfry fan. Nobody in Pikeville is crying. They have been to the regional champtionship game 16 out of the last 20 years. This is Hazard's first trip in over 20 years. We forgive Hazard fans if they don't know how to act like they've been there before. They haven't. Things will be back to normal real quick. They always do.

Jason Howell. He left Pikeville when he wasn't offered the HC job when Jackson was hired and took an assistant job at Tates Creek.

He told a kid who had quit to get off of his field. He used some salty language. The kid never played for Pikeville and moved away. But it was mostly due to a feud with Keno...

Those numbers don't mean anything...Middlesboro's nondistrict schedule was very weak, except the team that drilled them...Belfry's defense is better, and not by just a little bit IMO...

Hazard didn't want it more, especially when Pikeville scored an easy TD with a couple minutes left to ice the game and a penalty away from the play brought it back and gave Hazard new life. Hats off to Hazard, but call it what it is, Paintsville self-destructed after dominating Hazard for 3 3/4 quarters and Pikeville gave it away also...You must not remember the thrashing Pikeville gave Hazard 3 weeks ago 42-6. The fact is, Hazard isn't a very good team...they hadn't beat a team with a winning record all year and got beat 34-0, 63-14 and 42-6 by the 3 teams they faced with winning records before the Pikeville fiasco. Think what you want, Pikeville should beat Hazard by 4 TDs every time they play. Pikeville now 20-4 against Hazard overall and have now lost to them ONCE at home. If you think this post is sour grapes, it is to an extent, but Hazard is not a good team...Come look at this post again Friday night. BTW, Pikeville football fans and boosters will not tolerate losing to Hazard I assure you...

I'm with you 100% on this one. It's already cost Pikeville at least 1 state championship not having him (1999), probably more. I agree they won't get him (unless Keno is gone), but if they can get someone of his caliber, Pikeville will not only win the region every year, but be in the hunt for the state title every year as well...

I agree 100% and to their credit, Pikeville fixed that problem. They worked extremely hard and were much stronger and in better shape this season. People will be scratching their head about how they lost to a team that they had beaten 42-6 three weeks before and hadn't beat a team with a WINNING RECORD, for a long time... IMHO, Pikeville is an offensive coordinator shy of having one of the top coaching staffs in the state, in any class...and to make myself clear, I don't mean get rid of anyone, just add a top-notch OC.

Typical classy post from you. Not. I was only pointing out that you can't say Hazard doesn't have a chance. Some people (like Jumper Dad) got it, some didn't.

I think you really don't know what the deal is. First of all, no one is being hard on Jackson, much less giving any opinion on whether he should go, etc. Everyone seems to really like him, and he has total freedom to run his program as he sees fit as far as I know. All that was brought up is that the Hazard coaching staff did a better job last night, and what the bottom line is record-wise. WYMT said last night that Pikeville had been to the regional championship game 16 of the last 20 years before last night. So it was 16-19 years before Jackson and 0-2 under him. Pikeville also won the region the year before he came, so that is still fresh in people's minds. There is a ton of talent at Pikeville right now and some people are disappointed. But I'm sure no one wants the coach to leave, and rightly so... Pikeville's time is coming, just a little later than some people (me included) hoped for...
