:scared: Fairview and Campbell Co are just as good as East and currently just a hair better. This wasn't like losing to a couple of bottom feeders. East Carter will be fine.:thumb:

Just got home and forgot my stat sheet. Sorry. Fairview led after each quarter and had the lead by 4 with 2:09 to play but couldn't hang on. The Eagles play East Carter tomorrow at 2:30.

Many coaches give the responsibility to an assistant coach. But, there is no good reason that scores cannot be called in on a consistant basis.

Someone from Bracken had asked about reporting scores. It is the home coach's responsibility to call in the scores.

Does anyone have any stats on this one? Hamilton and Workman for Bracken Co. looked like they had improved since pre-season when they were playing in the Fleming Co Tourney. Hamilton had four 3's in row one game while Workman had three 3's in a row. How did Stapleton, Alexander and Skaggs do for the Devils? Bracken Co improves to 2-8 with the win and they are playing better.

1. Kyle Skaggs represents the future of Russell basketball. Had Coach Dodd not noticed this last year and started him on varsity as a 7th grader, the program would be further behind. By the end of his senior season, he will likely hold the all-time Russell scoring record. 2. I agree rebuilding will take time. That was stated before last season. But, to infer that Coach Dodd left it in bad shape is wrong. By next year these kids should be competing for the region. 3. May and Goble played JV last year and from what I've heard worked hard over the summer. 4. I have no doubt that the staff will work hard. 5. The fact that you posted "with Russell kids", leads me to believe you are referring to Blair and Vanhoose, who played for Russell four full years. 6. I never stated that Russell had 11 seniors, just that they had lost 11 players. If you care to research my previous posts for the last year, you can see who they are. I posted it once and don't wish to look it up again. Two of the kids moved that were being counted on to start last year. ** Best wishes to the Devils and the coaching staff. I know they will continue to work hard and they should be supported by the parents and fans.

:confused: I think that argument was more true the previous year when Russell lost 11 of the top 13. It may take the Devils another year to compete for the region. I believe that thanks to the playing time certain Juniors received last year plus their 2008 summer development that the following holds true. Alexander > Mabery Stapleton > Ferguson Whittaker, Goble > Bender Also, Davidson, Cooksey or May > Bender

Fleming only had 4 offensive boards and also had 20 turnovers. They did have 25 rebounds on the defensive end.
