  1. JSN heading back to the locker-room.
  2. Agreed! There’s a reason he’s one of the world’s top stars.
  3. Making a goal of knocking out 25 books this year. It helps me stay off my phone. Hoping this thread will keep me accountable! I mentioned I wrapped up The Nineties by Chuck Klostermann a couple weeks ago. Since then, on vacation last week, I read A Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda (it sucked) and just a few minutes ago knocked out His & Hers by Alice Feeney (loved it). The latter is a recently released Netflix show, so I plan to watch it now; though, not sure how it can be replicated on-screen.
  4. If going into it you accept that coverage could be spotty at times, it’s really cool. United has deployed it on a lot of its airplanes and I was surprised how well it worked in-flight.
  5. Nice. I got this on my list. Read The Nineties by him a couple of weeks ago.
  6. Almost nailed it. Great work!
  7. In the end, they take those who will accept an invitation. My assumption is, they got down to the 10th option or so, and so we get Shedeur. Tyler Huntley recently made it with 2 passing TDs in six games of action. From Kalshi Sports: Since 2006, a total of 696 QBs have thrown 200+ pass attempts. Shedeur Sanders’ 18.9 QBR this year ranks as the 692nd highest QBR out of those 696 QBs. I know people in the media love to blame Stefanski, but that is horrific. I'm hoping he improves, but you could watch five minutes of action and tell the game was moving WAY to fast for Sanders. The lowest QBR for anyone who started a typical allotment of games this season was Cam Ward (33.1).
  8. The problem with the “analytics” is that it doesn’t always take into consideration situation, game magnitude, the players involved, momentum, etc. Conventional wisdom should tell you that when you have a backup QB at the helm, points are a premium, so you take them when you have a chance.
  9. I would get Stiddy out in space and let him use his legs. Many don’t know he was the top dual-threat QB coming out of high school ahead of the likes of Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray.
  10. Agree on not taking the easy points. Why?
  11. The Ewing Theory committee has been dispatched to study Kentucky without Lowe!
  12. By hook or crook, we got us a winning streak with a chance to wrack up some more dubs entering the mid-point of the conference slate. I still do not know that UK is all that good, but the conference strength (or lack of) is working in the Cats' favor.
  13. I was about ready to come in here and say something similar. I'm conditioned from watching more NBA and having structured substitution patterns, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why UK's starting five are mostly (if not all) seeing a break from action by the 16-minute mark of the first half.
  14. Going 16-0 is no joke. I'm old enough to remember when North Dakota State University, in 2019, went 16-0 and won a hard-fought battle in the FCS championship game in Frisco, TX. The opposing coach: Curt Cignetti. That was Cignetti's first year coaching James Madison.
  15. Parallel to the Saleh news, apparently Matt Nagy (somehow) was one of the finalists vying for the Titans' job. At the same time this was going on, the Chiefs requested permission from Chicago to interview Eric Bieniemy to reunite with the Chiefs in the OC role. Since Nagy has fully taken over the reins as OC, there has been a noticeable difference in the Chiefs' offensive production. It does not appear Nagy will be retained by KC if he is not able to land a head coaching job.
  16. Off Williams’s back foot, that ball traveled at least 50 yards.
  17. Denver has pulled out games like this all season. Let’s see if they can do it with the season on the line. “Here we go, Jim!”
  18. Is this a bit? You seriously think the jury is still out on if the SEC is as strong as it was last year? By most metrics, last year’s SEC was historically great, if not the best ever.
  19. Agree, though I do think had it been reviewed they would have ruled forward progress.
  20. IU will have played 3 games in 44 days. Miami will have played 4 games in 51 days. What are we doing here?
  21. Yes. Them getting older next year is called “life.” ? Just messing with you.?
  22. It’s awesome UK has found ways to win the last three games, and several other victories in the Pope era when trailing by double-digits. But I believe the results are still showing that Pope’s teams leave a lot to be desired. Again, continually getting down how they do is a long-term bad indicator. That’s either nine or ten of their games they’ve trailed at the half THIS season. I do not think UK is as good as they were last year, but the SEC is without question a MUCH weaker conference than last season. That might be the Cats only saving grace.
  23. You do wonder if it gets in the psyche of some teams that at some point UK will make a run, and at any sign of distress they fold, believing the outcome is inevitable?
