What an AMAZING game... My Pirates were fired up tonight.. Dustin was HOT.. I think JC underestimated Belfry. I think that JC was way OVERRATED.. Everyone was saying they were gonna beat us by 5 TDs. Whatever. NOONE will beat us by 5 TDS. Everyone talked about how GREAT JC was... I wasn't really impressed tonight... They got lucky in the 4th and got a couple passes in.. Most of JC's completions in the 1st half was to us... LOL It should have been 28-0.... Bring on the playoffs... :fire::fight::fire::fight:

I am an old school Pirate.. Vipperman is MY Belfry.. Cam is an outstanding facility. But there was something in that concrete and mud. I love it.. I love my Pirates no matter where they are.. As for CAM I have never graced the visitors side with my presence.. LOL so I can't comment on that.. I remember that Breathitt game well... There was like 3 inches of mud on the field... couldn't even read #'s. I think Doug Howard changed jerseys a few times.. I was a great game though, would have been better if we had won.. oh well thats football.. gotta take the good with the bad..:fire:

I agree with your gripe too, EKU. Fans just didn't seem all that into the biggest game of the year thus far. I know I stood the WHOLE game, ringing my bell like a madwoman..LOL I couldn't sit. My crew is always loud. I am always crazy.. I don't know why everyone else is so blah.. I know a few of the Pirate faithful that always yell... but everyone else seemed asleep. SC fans were rowdy... Thats what I want our fans to do.. Need to get fired up.. our boys are 8-0 ... come on ppl, you gotta get behind our boys.. the louder we are the more they love it.. the more cranked they get.....:madman::madman:

Well I am a mommy. My son is 9 and he started football this year. He is of course the smallest on the team... but I wouldn't have it any other way. Team sports give them so much. It teaches them to work as a team for a common goal. Sure I worry about him getting hurt, but he is a boy, thats what boys do. It teaches them so much. The benefits far outway the risks. It gives kids something to do and encourages them to stay out of trouble.. You can't baby them forever. They will one day be adults. They can either take care of themselves or live on mommys couch forever. Sports in general are great for kids.. My boy loves it. Each week I see him getting better and better. He knows it too. It gives him a great sense of pride, boosts self-esteem. He gives me the thumbs up, it just warms my heart.. I love it....

I kind of expected a closer game.. but we'll take it anyway we get it... SC has a good team.. Any updates on the SC player who got hurt?? Hope he is ok... Congrats to SC on a hard fought game... WTG PIRATES!!!

Started out a lil slow, but picked up well in the 2nd half.... Glad to see everyone back....Pirates rolled on to 8-0. So far so good... Number 1 in the district... Can't wait till week 10... Should be a barn burner... GO PIRATES!!!!:fight::fight: Congrats to Coach Haywood on # 300...
