I remember a few years back when they came down here and played in the City/County Bowl and kicked our butts all up and down the field (It was embarrassing) , I think we over looked them than seriously I do , That was one of the fastest yet smallest teams I remember playing ever O. Mitchell burned us ALL DAY LONG. With what we lost and like you said "I think they return a good core of the the '08 team" Middlesboro is definitely the underdog.

Anything on Green County and what they return this season?? They will play In the City/County Bowl at Bell County against Middlesboro In week #1 so I am kinda curious. Thanks

I could understand that IF Soddy Daisy only only had 9 games listed on there schedule but all 10 games are full and Oct the 9th is a off week for them , If what you're saying is true than I guess S.D will play 11 regular season games and w/ no off week. They're playing really good baseball right now and over the last 14 games they've won 12 of em only losing to Trigg County and 16-3 Marshall County 3-2. I don't have any stats or anything but IMO this game will be a good one and hopefully the Jackets can pull it out... Good Luck Jackets.

Middlesboro will for sure be the underdog In this matchup , I would have to use Pittman In this game.

Middlesboro opened the 3rd quarter scoring 37 points In the first 2 minute. And I was there also that night I know what I heard and saw. The RB O'Brian (I think) was a littlle over emotional.

State Semifinal Middlesboro vs Beechwood. The State Semifinals were in Middlesboro for the first time since 1975. Middlesboro's Floyd Branham set the tone early with two tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Middlesboro scored early on a Dustin Wynn 34 yard field goal and later a David Kelley 60 yard punt return for a touchdown. Beechwood on this night was playing a team that had the heart of a champion as they never got on track offensively and were beaten by the Jackets 29-13. Scott Powell had a big game scoring 2 touchdowns and linebacker Floyd Branham was awesome and really so was the team. I remember most of all Beechwood getting off the bus walking into the stadium you could tell they was cocky (taunting the players and fans) but they had no idea that they was walking into a bees nest , For Middlesboro this game was never in doubt.
