Before kids, if they were playing I was there. Now I try to attend most of the home games and across town road games.

I'll pick Hoptown.

Football has never really been very strong at either of these two schools, but they could form a extremely competitive basketball team. Some of Steve Sparks North teams could have been deadly if you best 2 or 3 guys from the other side of the county.

About 15 years after Central City, Greenville, Breman, Hughes-Kirk, Muhlenburg Central, Graham, & Drakesboro merged to form Muhlenberg South and Muhlenburg North, the County is considering an additional merger. The Muhlenburg County Board of Education is moving forward with a plan that if approved would create one high school operating on two seperate campuses. Freshman and Sophmores would attend the current Muhlenberg South school while Juniors and Seniors would attend the current Muhlenberg North school. If approved both high schools would close on June 30th, 2009 and would re-open in the fall of 2009 as one consolidated school. Enrollment projections would likely place the new school in the 5A classification for football.

Owensboro Catholic is a good example of your point. I haven't followed them this season as much, but last year they played Reitz (IN 5A Champ), Apollo, Daviess Co., Owensboro, Madisionville & Warren East. Their record was 5-5 put could have easily been better with a weaker schedule. If were not for having to meet Ft. Campbell in round 2 who knows how far they might have gone.
