Does anyone livestream Simon Kenton football games?

If Simon Kenton is a predominantly passing team then I feel they will give Ashland trouble. Ashland has traditionally struggled against good passing teams, with the 2020 State Championship team being one of the exceptions. We may see another high scoring game in the 40’s.

I haven’t seen Simon Kenton play this year, but my good friend Mark Maynard lives in Northern Ky. now and says Simon Kenton is down this year and Ashland should have no problems. I know last year’s game was a shootout. What did Simon Kenton lose from last year’s team? What are their strengths and weaknesses this year? I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ashland come out flat after such a huge emotional win, but I sure hope not.

What an absolutely awesome game. I don’t know if many people thought Ashland had a chance with only :36 seconds to go down 36-34, but Jennings huge return gave them a chance and Strader found Duckworth wide open in the endzone with 3 seconds left to give Ashland a 40-36 lead. Why in the world Coach Tackett decided to kick the extra point is beyond me. That made zero sense.

Boyd County gave Ashland a tougher fight than I thought they would. Boyd’s QB Rhett Holbrook is a great athlete. His scrambling ability gave Ashland fits at times, and he also returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Boyd County had no answer for Ashland’s offense though. Ashland has a week off to prepare for Johnson Central’s rushing attack. I imagine it will be a lot like last year’s game between the two teams where neither team could stop the other.

Looking at Belfry’s remaining regular season games I see them finishing the season at 8-2. Who do you speculate Belfry would have to play in the 1st two rounds of the playoffs? I would love to see Belfry and Ashland get back to playing each other on a yearly basis.

Well it’s been over 24 hours since my friend sent the evidence back without a response. My friend did reveal to me that it was actually the AD’s brother and not the AD that told him this information. The AD’s brother is also an assistant football coach for Ironton and the AD is Coach Pendleton. My friend also told me that he told Assistant Coach Pendleton that this information was going to be going up on BGP, and he didn’t seem to care and that’s why he was convinced it was 100% true. Again, I apologize for the false information and questioning the Pikeville football program, and to anyone else this thread may have upset. That’s all I know to do. Thanks, CWB, I appreciate your kind words and understanding. It’s ok if they don’t want to accept my apology. I understand my post ruffled some feathers, and upset the fine folks in Pikeville. That certainly wasn’t my attention. I was just seeking the truth. I know usually when two parties disagree the truth is usually somewhere in the middle, but it appears in this case the truth was solely on Pikeville’s side. I do want to clear one thing up though. The Ironton AD is not my friend, but my friend got his information directly from the Ironton AD. He responded to my text this morning and is going to show the AD what I sent him and see what he has to say now. Again, my apologies to the Pikeville football team and their fans. I know they have a great program, just as Ironton does.

I sent these two photos to my source and am awaiting his reply. And if Ironton’s AD lied to him I will apologize to the Pikeville football program and their fans. I’m not an Ironton fan, I titled the thread with a question mark for a reason, and asked for Pikeville fans input. And I appreciate your answers and I now await the reply from my friend.

I didn’t but the final was what, 48-33, and didn’t Pikeville score with .45 seconds left in the game? That’s a pretty good beat down in my opinion. Overall, other than the win it was just a bad experience for Ironton with Pikeville from what I’m hearing from Ironton. I was told Pikeville wouldn’t even send pre-sale tickets for Ironton to pre-sale to their fans. That their fans had to wait in line to purchase.

This what I was told when asked. There is nothing to get back. The contract was for a return date. There’s no money made to get back. Our basic recourse would be to pay to sue in the state of Ky. I wonder who would win? It’s just dirty pool. What I’m told, this happens a lot.

I was told they weren’t. I was told that the OHSAA would not back an Ohio school vs an out of state school. ?

Ironton’s AD says it was a two year contract. He said if it was only a one year contract that they would have been compensated for this year’s trip to Pikeville.

I was just told by a great friend, that is a lifetime Ironton resident and school supporter that Pikeville has canceled what was supposed to be their away game at Ironton next year. The reason given was “We lose too much this year and won’t be able to compete” They knew exactly what they would lose when they signed the 2 year contract with Ironton. That’s pretty weak of Pikeville if this is true, and I have no reason to believe it’s not. Any of our Pikeville fans want to weigh in on this?

I’ve been told that Russell’s Elijah Neal has enrolled at Ashland after his family moved to Ashland. He’s a sophomore and I was told average 15 points a game for the Red Devils last year.

Thanks, A good friend of mine from Ironton said Ironton was flat tonight and didn’t play well, and the officiating was bad, but I was looking for an unbiased opinion.
