I’ve been told that Russell’s Elijah Neal has enrolled at Ashland after his family moved to Ashland. He’s a sophomore and I was told average 15 points a game for the Red Devils last year.

Word on the street is that it is due to a dad forcing himself on the staff and taking over the team.  They are now in the same debacle as Boyd Co.  
I can’t think of a reason why a dad should ever be on the coaching staff.  (Unless it is the head coach). 9 times out of 10 it is only to make sure their son/daughter gets preferential treatment.  JMO

Not sure.  My girls didn’t play in that district.

Oh, when you said both staffs o thought you were talking about Ashland. 

If true, Russell's future just got a little dimmer. They still have some players, but losing Neal is a blow. 

Seems late to transfer. Hope the family has in fact moved to Ashland so he doesn’t end up losing a year of eligibility.
 

Transferring to basically an all guard team and earning playing time will be tough. Should make him better in the long run but he may need to temper his expectations regarding his initial playing time.
