Walton travels to Brossart to open up the season. Last years contest was a low scoring game and the Mustangs prevailed as victors 15-7. Thoughts on who will win this matchup can give us any intel on either team.

The scrimmage finished up with a score of 0-0!

Scott travels to Bishop Brossart after scrimmaging at GRC. Brossart will be coming in after scrimmaging Boone County. Brossart is having a second street home scrimmage. Thoughts on this matchup? Will anyone be in attendance?

Overall it was a good scrimmage for both teams. I believe they did 2 to 3 10 plays offense and defense. And a simulated quarter. During this Boone County scored twice and Brossart scored once. Boones quarterback through two interceptions. And Brossart had a fumble in their own end zone. In the simulated quarter Brossart scored the only touchdown in that. Both teams had a very good running and passing games they just have to fine tune some things.

Boone County travels across NKY to take on Bishop Brossart. Thoughts on this matchup.

Bishop Brossart traveled to Pendleton Co this morning for 7 on 7. Believe they have another one coming up Saturday against Campbell Co.

Remember when they had both a Varsity/JV squad, Freshman Squad, and Jr High back in the late 2000s till 2010s. Used to average about 25-30 kids for there freshman team.

I can agree lol. But could hold their own against the other teams in the district.

Think they can hold their own.

We shall see! It will be interesting to see how they jump from 1A to 2A.

Ultimately, I think it’s parents trying to live through their kids. But the other thing has to do with the kids themselves. A lot of the kids nowadays want the instant gratification and want all the glory. They want the stats they want the ball. And when they do not get the ball they go home and complain to their parents stating that they don’t play and are not enjoying the sport and complain about quitting. When parents hear that they instantly wanna baby and care for their child because they’re upset. So the parents go usually to the coaches and or the Athletic directors to complain. And usually once they complain, the administration steps in and is always asking coaches they should be playing certain players like little Johnny. And most of the parents are donating money and putting in investments into the football program and in turn think there son should be compensated.

That’s a wild comment!

I’m sure most schools that are projecting to move up will request to stay where they are.

Jake Martin will be taking the helm of Bishop Brossart in 2026 after Adam Kozerski stepped away from the head coaching position. They have a young roster with some returning players that contributed in both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. They graduated 12 seniors. He has his own flooring business. I don’t know what opportunities there would be available in the school.

Oh! In regards to Brossart or Scott hiring process?

I’m positive they average around 60-70 per class. Could be wrong I know a few years ago they graduated at class of 80/90 kids one year.

Eager to see what happens with this job. Hope we hear something within next 2-3 weeks.

Believe that they are still accepting applications. From what I have heard they have at least 10 applications so far for the head coach job.

Has anyone heard on how many people have applied for the Brossart Job? Eager to see how all NKY teams go about how quick they will move to get a coach in the building.

I am very eager to see how many applicants would apply for this job! Definitely needs to be someone with experience and to work with limited numbers.
