He is VERY interested!!! Or that’s the word in the Capital City!!!

The fact that he didn’t win a state championship at Douglass in 5A with their roster tells me everything I need to know about coaching ability. D1 Talent for days and not really anything to show for it. In my opinion X could’ve done much better. Only time will tell but I would think that this was a move to get his family back into Kentucky and that he will rejoin the college ranks as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Interesting take. According to the KHSAA site FC has… 4 INT return TDs 1 Fumble return TDs 6 Punt return TDs and 5 Kickoff return TDs That’s a total of 16 for the Flyers so to say nobody does it better doesn’t necessarily track.

I would like to add a name to this conversation. Delano Collins, Athlete Franklin Co. HS. Kid is on an undefeated team and is a DO IT ALL guy. 17 Carries for 201 yds and 4 TD's 40 Receptions for 665 yards and 11 Td's 5 Punts Returned for TD's 2 Kickoffs Returned for TD's 1 INT returned for TD The kid has close to 2000 all purpose yards and 23 TD's. Mark still resides in Danville. Going to Centre was an opportunity for him to Double dip since he is retired from teaching. I think it had very little to do with a demotion. In the spring he was still calling plays and working with the quarterbacks. The last time we spoke he was very excited about the 25 season with the Flyers. Some opportunities just fit and this move makes total sense for him. Nobody at Franklin County blames him and he left the program on good terms. The Flyers will be just fine with the new play caller.
